Good Evening.
It is with no small degree of sadness I write these words, as for me and others it is the end of an era.
Following a meeting of the SYNE Directorate and consultation with regular pilots and baseline personnel, it was decided that of 1200 15/03/116, The Synenose Accord will cease all operations and return to it's pre-war stasis mode. A small contingent will remain to keep the corp and it's remaining assets "mothballed" and ready to re-activate should the proper circumstances arise.
All personnel bar that contingent will be discharged and offered severence pay, re-settlement and letters of reccomendation.
Q "Does this mean the end of SYNE?"
Yes and no. This is the end of SYNE in it's current format. It may one day return, but we as a corp have decided we can be of more use elsewhere.
Ninavask will remain as CEO and a point of contact for any inquiries. As well as that, there are contingencies in place should he be unavailable. Myself and Ollie Rundle will act as spokespersons for SYNE should the need arise, though we will not hold executive authority over it.
Q "How do we contact you?"
SynePublic, and The Syne Lounge will remain open, for official business for the former, social occasions for the latter. This is not a guarantee that we will respond, we are effectively closing after all, but this is the place to lurk if you wish to find us for whatever reason.
Q "Can we has your stuff?"
As anxious as we are to hold a jumble sale for years worth of resources, I will have to dissapoint you. Assets have already been sold or loaned to benefactors.
Q "I have standings with your corporation and/or your alliance. What should I do?"
It is worth stating here that standings with SYNE or CEIM may not be representative of future relations. The alliance issue will be adressed momentarily, but if you wish to adjust standings with SYNE specifically, please notify us so we can match.
Q "What about CEIM?"
CEIM's actual future is still under discussion, but the general consensus that SYNE will resign it's role as executor and leave the alliance to a successor to make of it what they will. Discussions are still ongoing, but it is safe to assume that SYNE and CEIM will be totally seperate entities as of the above deadline.
Q "Will there still be a Seyllin Conference?"
We most certainly hope so. Part of the Accord's strengths was it's ability to network across divisions and bring people together for such events. Though the Accord itself will be mothballed, many of our pilots will still remain as an informal group. Witht he help of others, we would be delighted if a SeyCon would happen in future.
In closing, I would like to state that while this is a sad occassion it is also one of hope. We are still in good standing with each other, and we are moving on to do things the Accord could not have. I have confidence, that in it's brief existence, SYNE has done good, and it's pilots will continue to do good. It has been my honor to serve, and I wish you all well.
Bright stars, clear horizons.
Signed

A bit of a disappointment, but these things sometimes happen, and there is not always much that can be done. As always, I will be available to help with any future SeyCons you plan to organize, if you wish. You know how to reach me.
To those who are leaving, I hope your new paths are as brightly lit by yourselves as they are by those you choose to walk alongside.
And to those who are staying, I hope you keep the light on for them to find their way home, should they need desire to return.

Well.
I don't think anything can be said, except that there were people who gave their lives as capsuleers to making the cluster a better place. They did not fly for personal glory, deepening pocketbooks, or grandiose claims of their own 'empires'. They were people who stood up and stepped out before the unknown for the benefit of the cluster - whether that meant responding to the sudden shock of the Seylinn Incident and the subsequent first waves of wormhole-space exploration, or standing out in front when it came time to defend the cluster from Kuvakei's minions.
So I salute the efforts of people who knew to stand for the cluster at large, and hope they will continue to do so in whatever individual paths they opt to take. |

Unfortunate, though sometimes change is so.
My personal thanks to Pilot Makari for taking me on as an erstwhile consultant in these recent months. It was a pleasure to watch SYNE and associates work.
Wind carry you back to us, someday.

I remember watching one of the Seyllin Conferences records before I was even a capsuleer and by no doubt it sparkled some parts of me to care about intergalactic affairs in the future. I remember many names from those golden times! Many of them now lost in the echoes of the eons.
Not to be completely sorrowful though, I'm glad it is not a complete end of The Synenose Accord, but rather a state of hibernation.

I suppose the only constant in the universe is change. Good luck to all the pilots of the Accord and thank you for your many efforts over the years. When the world is running down, you make the best of what's still around. |

A great shame.
I remember when SYNE was at the forefront of the defence against the Sansha absductions. I watched them organise groups of independents into effective forces, and made some very dear friends through their efforts. Indeed, SYNE were a big part of me stepping beyond my own little corner of Heimatar and becoming involved with the cluster as a whole.

Unfortunate but necessary, and The Synenose Accord is hardly finished. The Accord is a belief - one that runs deep in many pilots across the cluster - that we exist to serve and protect humanity from within and without. So long as this idea thrives within one capsuleer, so does the Accord. It is my deepest hope that, in time, our organization will continue operations. Until then, fly safe and free, my respected colleagues and friends. Dr. Nicolas A. Merovech, Scholar, Procurer and Soldier |

This is disappointing news.
One never knows who they will bump into in dark allies, the probability of it being someone interesting is now diminished.
Thank you for your good work.
I wish you individually and collectively prosperity and joy. GÇ£Here also are the heralds of his praise."

It pains me to preside over these events within the Accord but as pointed out above, it is a necessity. As Colonel Makari said I will be available for any inquiries. I was present in the accord during it's previous near Mothballing and will take care of her as I did then.
To all my soon to be former Colleagues, I wish you the best in all your adventures. Hopefully one day we can all come together again for the betterment of Mankind, and won't we all have stories to tell.
Fly Safe and know there will always be a hanger open for you. Dr. Ninavask Revan CEO - Commander The Synenose Accord Not indicative of corporate policy unless otherwise stated. |

The Accord may be going into stasis, but the spirit of our organization is shared by many across the cluster, and we all still serve and protect as we have always. To my former colleagues, may the wind be at your back that we may meet in the black once more. Blaise Cadelanne
