I'm an idiot sometimes and at the worst moments.
I started transporting some ships and equipment back to Min space seeing as the Gallente crew doesn't like me anymore and really doesn't want me travelling thru their space.
My wife always called for me to do something while I'm online, so stupid me didn't stop my ship and cloak until i was finished what I was doing.
Yeah uh, I ended up losing my Badger II and everything in it while I was away and come back to a pod that was getting beat on by 2 Pirates in battleships (second time this happened in a month).
It was nice to go back into low sec space and use cloak on the crazed maniacs which attacked me. I saw them flying all around attacking anyone that entered thie solar system. Thing is, that when I went back to look for my cans, I paid attention and lived both times I went out to see if my cans were there. I also mad it thru one gate camp while cloaked until I got close to the gate.
It sucks that things like this have to happen for us to learn how to become good players but I say this to all noobs, PAY ATTENTION WHEN YOU'RE IN LOW SEC SPACE!!!!!!!!!
Don't be a numbnut like me when someone calls your attention away and you just let the ship continue on without seeing what's going on. Pay attention and may just live.

Sorry. My brain just imploded...
Anyway, yeah, it sucks to be "taken advantage of". I once lost a mega cos I jumped onto IRC to try and defend Angela from a particularly harsh beasting from DJ Doby. Came back to find myself at like 30% hull and was caught on an asteroid.
(That also, incidently was the last time I ever mined, and was about ooooh, a year and a half ago)

Eh, no threats to the forums because no one would give a hoot anyway. I had to swallow everything I was feeling because I was so stupid and careless.
I almost bent over and told my 8 and 3 year old to kick me in the rear.

You need to take a long hard look at yourself.
You need to decide what is more important in life...Your wife or this game.
Can your wife provide you with tech II equipment? Can your wife provide safe passage through unsecured space? I think not.
You need to train Divorce to level 5.
I have seen the Arctic Circle... And it is round. |

Let me tell you a sad story..
These kinds of things don't always happen to newbs. They happen to the oldest of us players too. For instance, I was AFK at a safespot because I'm moving in RL. So I was simply putting things away when I noticed two megathrons warp in less then 2km from me. Locked me down and blasted through most of my armor before I had time to activate the hardeners and repairers.
Thankfully, but sadly, I was able to offer them a HEFTY sum of isk to let my Navy Issued Apoc go with it's Centus and True Sansha equipment. I survived, but two pirates are now very wealthy and I've learned a costly lesson.

I hear ya. I just felt that i did a really dumb thing by traveling thru lowsec and acting like I would be ok this time too. I'm hard on myself when I mess up sometimes but that won't happen again. I didn't train up to cloak for it to be wasted on losing ships.
