Hi everyone,
As promised, CSM8 would like to announce that we will be holding the fifth of a planned six CSM Town Halls during our term.
CSM8 Town Hall #5 will take place Sunday 23 March, at 1900 EVE time.
We will be continuing to use a dual format for our Town Halls, with them publicly broadcast on EVE Radio during the DJ Wiggles show. This town hall will be 75-90 minutes in length. As with last time, we're going to devote half the time to questions submitted in advance, followed by the second half where we will take live questions on the EVE University Mumble server, which will be open to the public during the Town Hall. I'd like to express the CSM's sincere gratitude to the staffs of both of these organizations for their continued assistance with this important event, notably DJ Wiggles and Neville Smit of E-UNI.
Neville posted on the EVE University website the instructions for accessing their public Mumble server, and I recommend you take some time to go ahead and read those instructions.
As always with these events, we will take questions from any EVE player (past, present, future) that wishes to participate and we'll do our very best to answer within the constraints of the time of the event and of course the ever-present NDA.
The focus of this particular Town Hall will be the Winter Summit minutes, the final point release of Rubicon, whatever details about the summer expansion have been announced or leaked by this date, and of course, general questions from EVE players on any topic they desire. For this meeting, in addition to live questions from those of you on the EVE University Mumble, please submit your advance questions to CSM member Ripard Teg.
Barring unforseen accident or emergency, additional CSM Town Hall sessions are planned for: * mid to late April (before the CSM9 elections and Fanfest).
Precise dates and times for this last planned Town Hall will be announced by the CSM at a later date.
Hope to see you there! Jester's Trek: wherein I ramble about EVE Online, gaming, and from time to time... life. |

(reserved for frequently asked questions or important updates)
If you have questions for the CSM that you would like aired but cannot attend the Town Hall yourself, please feel free to send them to me and I will ask them in your name ("I received an advance question from XXX, who asks..."). Does the CSM would like to see more big fleet fights (over 500 vs 500) so that it will attract more new capsuleers to the game ? (like 3x more than normal, after the Battle of B-R5RB)
Or does the CSM rather see fights that will not victimize it's current customers to TiDi and let them go through a 10% time warp
If not than one possible solution could be to incorporate some elements of Newtonian physics to the game such as collision physics. This will not allow fleet fights, through natural game play, to possibly escalate to gigantic proportions in one system, or at the least make players be more active participants in fights through skill full piloting, instead of assigning drones or pressing F1. Eve rule no.1: The players will make a better version of the game, then CCP initially plans.

Doh, that was a really interesting question, Jaun. Wish you'd posted it earlier.
At this point, I suggest you post this question to the threads of the CSM8 members running for reelection. Jester's Trek: wherein I ramble about EVE Online, gaming, and from time to time... life. |

Is there a .mp3 recording uploaded somewhere? I know there is the possibility to listen to the town hall through the "rewind" feature of EVE Radio, but I would greatly appreciate if it was possible to listen to it offline (or even if it was possible to fast forward the damn thing). |

Hopefully EVE Radio will poke that in the future... New player experience, more highsec PvE missions, casual play, balance, counters to AFK cloaking, expanding the NEX store, and Power Projection.
