With the latest patch, you may have noticed that your pod now has a fancy flashy light on the bottom, to help instalockers find you in the explosion presumably.
While exploding ships inside our POS shield today, my fellow scientists and I noticed that ID's very expensive golden pod has yet to be updated with this crucial feature.
Despite his claims that people with the 'secret code' were given a special switch to turn it off, It is our hypothesis that CCP has, in a unique and dramatic turn of events, made an oversight when updating the various pod models.
Without actually checking the forums yet, I predict that this will instigate a large thread on CCP's forums about the issue, and look forward to the discussion mightily. Topics on the agenda: Is it a bug, or a feature? Why does CCP deliberately thumb their nose at the dedicated customers that paid a premium for their collector's edition? What does CCP plan on giving the CE owners as reparations for their inexcusable omission?

Why would CE owners require reparations for having been given the special stealth pod? |

I will admit, My first thought on noticing the flashing emergency-beacon light was "cool, thats a clever addition", immediately followed by "hang on, how long has that been there, has it been there for years and I'm just being dumb". Glad to know I'm not stupid... for this reason, at least |

Another case of "flashylightosis".
A terrible affliction where a persons thoughts are focused obsessively and repetitively on flashy lights. No known cure, but wearing sunglasses inside has been shown to diminish some of its deleterious side-effects. |

The flashy light is a becon so that the New Eden Search and Rescue can find your pod. Just wait patiently at the site of your wreck to be picked up and taken to safety. I know violence isn't the answer. I got it wrong on purpose. |

I preferred the original jovian pod, it was bigger and tumbled about in a random direction during flight, seemed more high tech compared to the present pod. Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction... |

I'm not sure about you but I purchased that pod / implant for less than 2b. I think it was pretty cheap. :) Maybe I will be able to purchase a lamp for it for a few hundred mill so instalockers find me, too, more easily. |

They should let us customize our pods as well as our ships.
Also, I wish when you renamed your pod, the name would stick between ship explosions instead of having to rename it every time.. |
