The new in-game bug reporting tool bugs out on me.......
In essence after hitting submit the progress bar goes to 100% and stays there. The only way to make the client responsive again is to hit Esc. and cancel the bug reporting tool. And yes, I have waited for it to complete for quite some time. (20 minutes should be enough I would think....) As far as I can tell from the logserver there is some problem finding the DXDiag report. After that it just fails.

The plan is to release it with the Crucible expansion provided we dont run into any issues. CCP-áVertex -á|-á Art Quality Assurance-á | -áTeam Trilambda |

Awesome job, but please stop making this game so easy to use (only joking), first we have the game looking great with the new Nebula, next Team Papercuts fix stuff we never new existed along with others people screamed about for years, then you guys come up with this.
Just a quick question, are the screen shots high or low resolution?
I just ask as my upload speed is not that great and even uploading pictures to my Hotmail account can take some time if they are high resolution (4320* 2432 widescreen camera).
A 1920 * 1200 widescreen picture plus DXdiag files etc could be quite an upload, any idea of the total load for an average bug report?

Awesome screenshot tool. So cool - I can't help but want more :)
Proportional sizing buttons 50% - 100% - 200% Useful for small crops that look bad when scaled to fit the window, and 200% will be popular with folks that want to place arrows precisely.
Arrows could be auto-numbered when placed, (as an option?) to help with notes in the bug. |

You can number elements by right clicking them and selecting the option. |

Could you run the Logserver.exe from your installation folder before you start the game and submit a bug report on this issue the old fashioned way through https://bugs.eveonline.com |

Logs are attached automatically without needing to run logserver.
Now, Logserver does log more than is available in the in-memory logging (as we call it) but most of the time the latter is enough for bug reports. |

GREAT JOB! one of the best additions ever! love the arrows and text box!
suggested improvement: - enable cropping by drawing a box and then just hit crop ( instead of add box, move, resize, crop).
...now just please also change your attitude towards treating reported bugs: - do not filter bugs with lacking reproducibility - do not make risk assessments on existing bugs, fix existing bugs first before rolling out stuff to tranquility - quality first, then quantity! - provide a detailed known bugs list - "known issues" not enough more little ideas that need your support: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=261507#post261507 enjoying the order cancellation confirmation? sometimes CCP listens - there is hope after all :) www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1431503 |

Thanks, it looks like the tool is uploading 8MB which the bugs website cannot handle and these bug reports are typically below 1MB. All I can think off is that your settings represent most of that data. I didn't realize people's settings could be so huge and I'll probably need to put a cap on the settings size that can be sent over.
I've responded to the bug report asking for more information to confirm that it is indeed your settings. |

So in other words, you've created a bug report on the bug reporting tool?
Did you make sure that it wasn't too big? ;)

### IGBR.ZIP ((8.398.903 bytes) contains processHealth.txt logs.txt igbr_0.jpg methodcalls.txt prefs.ini settings.yaml ==> 7.4MB dxdiag.txt
C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\f_games_eve_tranquility\settings => 14 files, 3,40 MB (3.566.840 Bytes)
see also my current settings, attached as zip.
- why do you not just transfer the settings in binary form (but apparently in a serialized form)? - why do you use jpg for IGBR and not lossless png? check the moderated little ideas/10000 papercuts/low hanging fruit article! comment, bump(!) and like what you like: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Little_things_and_ideas_-_low_hanging_fruit_-_10000_papercuts |

Thanks for updating the report, it has been entered into our defect tracking.
to answer your questions: - The settings are uploaded human-readable so that our bughunters can read the contents and spot 'false positive' issues that are due to settings configuration (this happens frequently). - I haven't run into issues where the quality of the .jpg is insufficient. Is there something in particular that you're looking for with using a .png? |

Is there something in particular that you're looking for with using a .png? - i seems the yaml file inside the igbr.zip is not compressed. with compression it goes from 7.4 => 1.2MB. would that solve the 8MB problem? - alternatively how about a ascii dump tool for th BH? - while skipping through my settings.yaml i see there is lots of stuff in there, sometimes reads like a history or cached content. is that the reason you have not yet made a settings export/import/manual edit happen? ...actually i was trying to see if you had some variable holding the transparency information for pinned windows so i might be able to change that (until you hopefully expose that to settings screen in eve client some day) - jpg probably works. though png seems to me to be the natural choice because a) windows and stuff optimally saved by png, b) lossless, fragile artifacts might get lost with jpg... check the moderated little ideas/10000 papercuts/low hanging fruit article! comment, bump(!) and like what you like: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Little_things_and_ideas_-_low_hanging_fruit_-_10000_papercuts |
