So I finished the basic tutorials and decided to start the Sisters of Eve arc after seeing it recommended around the internets as the next place to give it a go. Pretty sure I boned it up pretty good.
I was only a couple missions in, the 'Data Retrieval' chapter to be precise. All I had to do was grab 'Dr. Castille's Data Core' from a container and kill a couple of pirates. I went straight for the container, grabbed the item, and then moved on to the pirates.
Then my dog happened.
I get back to the computer and I am quite lifelessly floating in space in my little pod. Unfortunately, after returning in a shiny new ship and finishing off the pirates, the data core object no longer existed in the container or anywhere else. Now the arc is at a complete standstill, I can't complete this chapter without the object.
What do I do? |

3 Options:
1.) Look for the item on contracts... Sometimes you can buy the item.
2.) Wait a day. As long as the mission complete trigger hasn't been completed, the mission will respawn after downtime.
3.) File a petition. Normally they don't "reset" missions, but seeing as you are a new player, and seeing as it wasn't another player that stole your mission item, there is a moderate chance they will "reset" the mission for you.

GMs will reset missions for players running either the Sisters of EVE epic arc or the tutorial missions.
This is an exception to the normal rules - under all other circumstances (except proven server bugs or crashes), if you start a mission, you have to wear any consequences for failing it.
