Never fly anything worth more than twice what it would cost to effectively suicide your ship through high sec.
It takes a frigate to suicide a shuttle. Your BPO is probably worth, say, 2 billion. That means it cost 200k to suicide your ship, 10000 times less than the BPO is worth.
If you used, say, a battleship to transport it, it would take an entire fleet to suicide you. While it might still be profitable, such a fleet could not be gotten at close notice.

imo its borderline grief play
its a game, people play games to relieve stress, enjoy, its "leasure time", not spend their time getting worried of recruiting a noob fearing its the next shugatsu, or a passing corp thief, etc.

i have to admit thou, it wasnt really one of OP brightest moments there,

Sucks, but when you where looking for a better ship the best you could find was a shuttle??? 2.1 bil fell in your lap, and you didn't take care to protect it. Really not worth the fuss, nor a reason to quit.
