Isotera	Posted - 2006.04.26 01:06:00 - [1] OSS just completely destroyed a BRS fleet in S-U. With 3FA dreadnoughts attacking the POS in S-U, goonfleet had over 300 people camping the 6-U stargate. 2 dreadnaughts, a carrier, and ChefAce were killed. The assault on the POS had to be ceased, though, and the longest gatecamp in all of EVE is continuing.

I would say that it was a good fight, but due to the lag, there WAS NO fight. Yes, we were vastly outnumbered, and yes, we were flying to our doom, no doubt. Would make this game a whole lot more fun. As it is many avoid fleet flights in large numbers because it really only favors those with the best computers and or best net connections to keep up with the server. Even with that said the server continues to expand and with it the demand on it's bandwith increases right behind it. I wonder what steps they are taking towards the future in their continuing attempts to resolve server lag issues. Yeah it isn't as horrible as before but it still is very restricting.

ChefAce I wouldn't say it was brave, or even ballsy, but it almost certainly could have been a huge laugh for you guys had it not been for the lag. I'd be happy to replay the entire event with you guys, and ensure that NO ONE has any kind of drones or cans in system if you think the outcome was lag dependent. Hell if you let us put a few more bubbles up to compensate, I'll let you jump in while we're off grid and load :) Somehow I doubt you will because we both know that the outcome of that fight was completely independent of the lag whether or not you're willing to admit it. Just feel proud they mentioned you it's a sign you're making a difference. I have a forum alt named after me now so I'm still leeter than you :)
