As for the original topic, it seems to me like the usual political manouvering. I am sure a number of under the table dealings were involved.
Nobody said democracy is perfect, but it is still better than anything else.

While I do not disagree with some of the sentiments expressed above, I still have to point out that two candidates are still two more than what some of the other nations have.
