Broken Bear	Posted - 2006.04.29 06:42:00 - [12] i know i may get a bit flamed for this, but i think the incursus is overrated. people love ships that look cool. on the other hand, both the kessie and the rifter (yeah, i know, it looks cool too, but i promise it's more than that) can be true beaters (for T1 frigs anyway,) and i've had some great wins with both. that being said, it can take a bit of training time, and combat experience, with both ships to really be able to make them work. ps. the bleeder pun can be pretty nasty too, i just don't think it's as fun.

The range on an incursus is what will kill it though, rifter with barrage will eat it up. I like the punisher best from these frigs but: not that much damage. (it can tank though) So, looking through the frigs of other races it's just plain curiosity that factors my post. Sensor booster might help too. Akkarin Pagan	Posted - 2006.04.29 21:15:00 - [20] My fave T1 frigate is the Rifter. It has the capacity to scare most other t1 frigates, because it is so versatile, and can carry many different setups. A pure damage dealer frigate I have used very effectiveley against other t1 frigates is a Merlin running a pair of 150mm rails and a pair of standard launchers using iridium charges and whatever light missiles work for you. There is no room after this for an afterburner so your mids can be concerned with tanking (and maybe a target painter too to boost your missile damage) and the lows for whatever suits you. Most frigates will die trying to close with you, and those that do get close are so damaged that the next couple of volleys will pop them, and you're rails should still track too :)

Malfactor	Posted - 2006.04.29 23:45:00 - [23] From my experience, I find the Kessie and the Rifter to be the best damage dealers. Though the Incursus is very nice as well...I would still take a Rifter or a Kessie over it. I use my Rifter for frig PvP, and my Kessie for support/ratting/etc.

Don't forget to add in the DPS from one Warrior II/Hobgoblin II that it can carry too. That'll push you just over the 200 dps mark.
