Why are everyone putting hidden links in their bios for this silly site, I hate hidden links such as link called lol and it links to an infinite loop which crashes your computer. This is like people that call you on a phone asking if you like your current toilet cleaner.
Why oh why would anyone put this in their bio?

Edited by: Niques Leutre on 30/04/2006 00:31:46 It's a scam. Those who participate get a point every time someone clicks on a link, but I'm not sure what they use the points for...
Once you give them rights, the learn your location, corperation rights and rank, ship, etc. Most likely for pirating purposes by whoevers behind the site. ___________________________________

Nice but what sort of invo does that give them, sure you can find out what hangars they have access too but thats not of much use.

Isn't it? In certain kind of conflicts, that kind of information can change hands for a *lot* of money. ______________________

Isn't tricking someone into making their client release that information considered an out-of-game tactic and/or an exploit?

It is an indication of their status within their corp. Someone important or high up will have more access. Maybe that can be of use when prioritising targets to disrupt the corporation's workings? Having your co-director or chief manufacturer locked down in a station could be detrimental to some corporate war efforts.

Well to be fair, you are asked when you visit the site if you want to release the information. I agree that it isn't a great situation and most are unaware of just how much information is sent.

You may want to turn someone in the target corp. Or exploit their position. Or know which are weak and which cut the deals. Having a picture of who the target is, what they do and how they do it is helpful and this is just another part of a larger intelligence jigsaw. ______________________

I can PvP, and I use eve.orb.at .
P.S. Its not a linkspamming game, because if someone spams it you can get them banned from it.
