In my mind, using an interceptor would be the best, one fitted with maneuver/speed mods. You would warp before anyone could lock you and following you in anything else but an interceptor would be pointless. I dont have any experience in this area so any help would be appreciated. I am assuming tanked ships like a BS would be too slow and if someone scanned your cargo they could follow you and get some friends together to gank you. |

ceptor covops or hell even a t1 frig will be sufficient 99% of the time. T3 can be both tanky and fast, and is not subject to random explosions quite as easily as frigs or even a blockade runner. The Leapord (special frigate) is one of the fastest warping ships ever designed. If you do get scanned (very unlikely) you will outrun any ships that would try and follow. The trouble is, 1 lucky Catalyst could pop you.
Another choice would be a brick tanked Navy BS. You could easily be scanned, but it would take a crew of Tornado pilots to bring you down.
Covert Ops ships also work. Cloak and warp from every gate. It's hard to even see which way you warped. |

The best idea (in my opinion) is to be "just another mission runner" that isnt worth the gank. If I remember right, you cant scan a can, so put your BPOs in there, fit for a mission and slow-boat it. If it were me, I'd fit a T1 BS or BC, go heavy on the tank and "noobish" on the weapons.
Dont mind me, just another mission runner with nothing for you!
Also, dont do it with this character, just in case :) Cedric

I use blockade runners for said task.
No one knows what you have, and it would take a bit of luck, several points and a bit of skill to even catch one.
Fit it with DCU2, WCS (a couple if possible), the rest in tank.
When I have expensive cargo I scout mine with a second account in a logi. |

Interceptor with warp core stabs and nanos in the lows, or a cov ops like a bomber again with warp corp stabs and nanos.
But depends what your carrying, if it is just regular BPOs of not much value you prob wont get ganked, if its a T2 BPO, then I think one of the above. I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die. |

If the blueprint isn't too valuable, a Gnosis works surprisingly well too. You can get almost 200k EHP against Antimatter out of it and still have a decent align time.
But if the BPO is worth more than a billion, people might gank you anyway, so something stealthy will be better.
You can also double-wrap the BPO to be unscannable. (Ask a freighter pilot for how to do that). Although a double-wrapped package in a shuttle will definitely be suspicious, so maybe double-wrap it, use a freighter and pretend to be just a run-of-the-mill Red Frog alt doing a regular freight run, not worth to be ganked. |

1. Don't advertise that you'll be hauling BPOs anywhere; use an alt not at way with anyone 2. Judge just how valuable the BPO is: high end T2 BPOs or valuable researched T1 BPOs (like Retriever), use a fast ship, fast align, rigged to get off gate fast. 3. Don't auto-pilot. I know, still have to say it tho. 4. Don't use a ship that'll attract attention (like a Leopard)

I'd use a hyperion with a bit of buffer if the bpo was valuable enough, or a proteus with the warp speed sub, cov ops sub, and a decent buffer. t3s have bigger tanks, warp faster, more agile, warp cloaked, can go to nullsec easy, same cost. "CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"

I think this depends more on where you're transporting from and the route you're transporting through.
A cov ops is usually best bet, put an I-Stab on it so it aligns faster if you want and always cloak.
blockade runner is more secure and has option to cloak but slower align.
However, to my initial point, let's say you are trying to move the print out of Jita 4-4. Undocking from station puts you at great risk, even if you have an undock BM set up. One bit of lag and you're cov ops or intie is subject to insta-pop from anyone who scanned you.
If it's a rather valuable print, do it at off-peak times.
Don't transport in a shuttle. They get scanned all the time looking for idiots with prints or PLEX in them. |

As far as the cloakers go, after you enter a system and while still cloaked, you double click space to start moving and then hit your cloak right after that in order to cloak before being targeted correct? |

With a cloak warper you hit warp, and then cloak. With a non cloak warper, you hit align, cloak, mwd, and then at end of cycle decloak and warp.
Don't really want to hang about the gate long otherwise you'll get decloaked if there is someone there, nor do you want to be cloaked in a non cloak warper without the mwd running because you'll barely have moved from where you were seen.

I have lost an align fitted covops to insta lock, whilst attempting to warp to an insta. In that particular case a blockade runner would also have exploded, where a proteus would have docked.

One of the best ways to transport shiny stuff (not only trough highsec) are T3s.
I'd use a nanoed, stabbed, nullified cloaky buffer tengu like e.g. this:
Quote:[Tengu, Travel] Damage Control II Nanofiber Internal Structure II Nanofiber Internal Structure II Warp Core Stabilizer II
Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II Experimental 100MN Afterburner I Adaptive Invulnerability Field II EM Ward Field II
Covert Ops Cloaking Device II [empty high slot] [empty high slot] [empty high slot] [empty high slot]
Medium Core Defense Field Extender I Medium Core Defense Field Extender I Medium Core Defense Field Extender I
Tengu Defensive - Supplemental Screening Tengu Electronics - CPU Efficiency Gate Tengu Engineering - Capacitor Regeneration Matrix Tengu Offensive - Covert Reconfiguration Tengu Propulsion - Interdiction Nullifier
But make sure you watch out and fly active.
And don't fly them with negative sec status and lose it to faction police in jita like ... uhm ... a friend of mine did. |

The most risk free method is....
Red Frog.
Setup a contract to your destination. Set the collateral above the cost of your BPO, and let someone else take all the risks for only a few million isk.
Second Best option is a covert ship. Covert t3's are nice because they have solid tanks. Covert Ops are nice because they align fast and warp fast.
Good luck with your move. |

Is this why I was following a Leopard 5 jumps towards Jita just yesterday in my special Jaguar?
I hope that someone had their butthole tightening at least from the constant targeting attempts. |

This tbh. use blue/red/black frog.
However http://greedygoblin.blogspot.co.uk/2014/02/business-post-ascendancy.html have a look at this guy. He regularly hauls very high value cargos in a tengu and blogs about it. Yeah, some people might roll the dice on blapping a blockade runner to see what it's carrying. It's possible, though, to tank a Prowler to almost 20,000 EHP omni-tank, cranking up to 40K EHP with invuls and DC active: === [Prowler, Anti-Instapop] Damage Control II Power Diagnostic System II
Adaptive Invulnerability Field II Adaptive Invulnerability Field II Large Shield Extender II
Covert Ops Cloaking Device II Core Probe Launcher I, Core Scanner Probe I
Medium Core Defense Field Extender II Medium Core Defense Field Extender II === Even a maximum-alpha Tornado doesn't have the beef to reliably blap that in one shot, and if you're flying smart, one shot's all that a Tornado will get. Red Frog only takes collaterals up to 1 billion ISK - and at that value, you can still carry it around relatively safely in a max-tank Gnosis or Orca.
It's for more valuable blueprints that options become difficult. Up to 5 billions, Blue Frog and PushX will still carry it, but for much higher prices (at least 5 times higher). If it's worth even more, you need to find someone special who's willing to take that risk. |

Unfortunately, you remember wrong. Game was changed some years ago to enable scanning contents of cans, and the "Plastic Wrap" of courier contracts.
What I'm not sure about is whether or not it was ever made possible to scan through two layers of plastic wrap (a courier contract of a courier contract).
