How hard is it to go to the DB and just put all implants to +0 bonus ? Why hasnt this been done already as 99% of the eve population doesnt have access to them and it doesnt seem that we will have until after the weekend.
I dont see the logic in allowing some people to use them and exclude the rest. Its just stupid and damn unfair. Currently you can have 5 implants and you dont loose them on death plus that 99% of eve doesnt have them. Yeah, thats really fair.

Edited by: FlareZFX on 18/09/2003 23:31:45 So, what's up? Did that 99% have access to the miner 2 BP when it was put into the game? Did that 99% have access to the large harvester drops when they were there? Are people who get a BS blueprint from a container floating in space forced to give it up? Hell no. I think CCP has proved that it's not going to distribute new items equally anyways.
Quit your whining, you just need to be in the right place in the right time. It's all about luck sometimes.
EDIT: Oh, sure you actually have access to them now if you want, I mean the implants. Just buy them off the trade channel or the market for example, they are there.

How can you even compare miner2 to implants ?
Training time is something you cant buy with all the isk in eve but you can get the miner2 for 2,5 mills.

There's implants on the market for 50m+ a piece, just go get yours. I didn't get mine from agents either, I bought them for 6m a piece. I just happened to log on at the right time, and had the ISK to spare. If this wasn't buying training time, then what was it?

the problem FlareZFX is that removing access to implants didnt even fix the exploit, it only "slowed" it down, and removed access to it to all the other people, making implants give no bonus and yet still be acquirable would have fixed the exploit until a real fix would be in, as well as removed this huge advantage some people have

You wanted to compare this issue to miner2. 50m vs 2.5m.. Less then 1000 implants around. Like 10k miner2s around.
And you profit from implants while being offline but you have to be online to use miner2.
This whole issue is rotten

Whatever man, suit yourself. If you had one plugged in, I'm sure you wouldn't be jumping all over demanding a database change. Admit it, there' nothing wrong with it.

I'm not protesting, I'm just telling you to quit whining and say this like it is - you want an implant too, you want to be one of the few ones who got them today, period. It's only a game.

You are assuming he wants to be one of the few, because that's the position you are currently in and you are enjoying it.
If you had an open mind you might realize that some people want what's best and fair for the entire playerbase.
If it's only a game, why are you protesting his request to make it fair for everyone by nullifying them until we all have equal access?

So everybody should just sit there and say ok and hand them 13$ each month (some people have 2 or 3 accounts and would therefor pay more) ?
No complaining and you will have this issue every patch and the devs could care less and maybe then you will be in the 99% catagory that dont have the item/crap/anything that a selected few have. I want to see you sit on your ass then and hand them your 13$ per month.
Complaining != whining, get a clue

Edited by: FlareZFX on 19/09/2003 00:00:15 Yeah you nailed it. Who was the one who started the thread after all, was it me? Was I the one who brought the issue up? No. I just threw you an counter-argument that the game hasn't been "fair" or equal from several other aspects either. Just deal with it, or quit playing, simple as that. Gone now.
Fireal: Been in that 99% several times, believe me. However, I had no need to alarm the Amnesty international about it though, I just dealt with it and kept moving on.

Why surrender to defeat when you can fight for change?
If you don't have the energy or motivation, don't stand in other people's way.
