The logo of the Sentinel Security Corporation fades to reveal the face of a smiling Horatio Cain.
Hello, my name is Horatio Cain and I'm here to talk about Sentinel Security. I founded Sentinel Security with the intention of providing security solutions for corporations or alliances who find themselves at odds with the universe around them.
We aren't your standard mercs. We are mercenaries with a conscience. Do you have a small industrial corporation or alliance with few defensive resources? Maybe you have new corporation or fledgling alliance trying to get its feet on the ground in the tumultuous economic environment of the EVE star cluster?
Well, Sentinel Security may be able to help you! Do you find yourself being constantly harrased by pirates, or larger corporations and alliances? Sentinel can help even the odds. We will offer our services for reasonable fees that your organization can afford. We will provide the expertise to safe gaurd your operations so you can concentrate on expanding and building your business.
We have an elite team of pilots with all manner of backgrounds dedicated to providing your business with the expertise required to see that your assets are protected!
My goal is to help make the cost of doing business in our sometimes violent world affordable for everyone, because the freedom to conduct business without fear of interference from lawless elements or large greedy cartels is good for the economy!
Please contact me via mail, or via secure comms channel if you want to learn more, or feel your business could benefit from our services!
Sentinel Security, security solutions for an uncertain universe!
The image of Horatio Cain fades out replaced once again by the logo of Sentinel Security while a catchy tune plays in the background.

A bold idea, especially considering the heightened tensions floating around the EVE cluster as of late. Mercenaries with a conscience, eh? I applaud you and wish you success in your ventures.

I wish you the best of luck with this endeavour Horatio.
I do however wonder about this claim to a "conscience" you speak of. You are paid to kill people, and you appear to be accepting cheaper prices to do so than the average merc outfit. How that rewards you with a "conscience" remains a little unclear to me.
Yes I realise you are helping the little guy, but the nature of your help...does it really leave room for morality? For example, two fledgling corporations who are both trying to get their foot in the door, and you are approached by one of them to remove the other. Maybe you have a conscience, unlike other mercs, but ignore it, like the other mercs?

I think what the man was saying was that his operations appear to work on defence grounds contracts as opposed to assassination protocols of competing corporations at odds.
Saying that, I'm sure there's always a chance to operate on assassination protocols when on contract and spin the story to appear defensive.
We've all done it at one point or another... oh wait, I haven't...

Ms. Duhorne,
I'm terribly sorry about the confusion, I thought my advertisement was very clear, but I will try to explain. Sentinel Securitys very existence is to prevent killing by offering our military expertise to corporations or alliances who are being victimised by larger interests, or criminal elements.
I also don't claim to be moral at any point. I'm the first to admit I'm no saint. I have trained my whole life for one thing, combat. I find I'm little good at much else, and I would like to help those, who don't have the same training. This is my only goal.
The scenario you illustrated above is one I wouldn't get involved in. I interview my clients and take their needs into consideration before I agree to do a job. The above situation is one I would turn down. If you are still confused, please, feel free to contact me via secure comms channel or via mail and I would be happy to answer any other questions you might have about Sentinel Security and our services.
Thank you, respectfully, Horatio Cain CEO Sentinel Security

Ah, I see, very interesting answers Mr Cain, and things are significantly clearer to me now. I must thank you for your calm and patient reply, it was appreciated. Once again, now more than ever, I wish you the best with this endeavour - it seems you truly are a "different kind" indeed. How refreshing.

What is your stance on the slave trade? Can one expect to find you protecting slave-traders from "pirates?"
Anyway, thats a very nice presentation.

Good question Cipher7. Sentinel Security is a privately owned business and owes no allegience to any of the four empires. Since the practice of slavery is illegal in the majority of Empire space, we will not condone or aid in this practice.
That being said, were we to be contacted by a corporation that is being harrassed for transporting slaves, we would naturally turn down the contract. Sentinel Security chooses to distance itself from such politically charged activities and on the same token we would also turn down offers to assist in anti-slavery operations in Amarr space.
This is because we do not wish to alienate future clients and we feel that these political struggles are outside the boundaries of what Sentinel Security stands for, free trade and ethical economic growth.
Thank you for your interest in Sentinel Security and please feel free to let me answer any other questions you may have in this thread or via private transmission.

Mercs arent paid to have a conscience. You guys arent mercs. You are do gooders that slapped the word merc onto their title. You will die horrible deaths to people much more violent and unsympathetic than yourselves. Trust me. Ive seen it a dozen times. Your corp and its ideals are nothing unique.

I've known Horatio for a great period of time and was proud to fly with him while he was in Convergent.
Believe me when I say he is no "do-gooder" nor is he an "evil-doer" as he says he is of a rare breed that actually has a consience and if you are lucky enough to hire him your work will be completed with integrity and efficiency.

Dear Horatio:
First of all, my best wishes and may you need any commercial guidance and intel, our services, despite not beeing cheap, its high quality and low profile.
Never the less, i have quoted above what you will find trough out the cluster. People are not used to security companies, other than Concord. While mercenarys are well spread across the gates. Glad you have the skills and spirit to make a good answer. But take this advise: make the diference in your favour.
To achieve that, you'll need a new publicity aproach on your business. I'd advise you to start by changing this very topic title from: ½A new kind of mercinary corporation+ to a tottaly diferent ½the first private security company in the galaxy+.
Thanks for you time and - again - my best wishes.
