Does anyone know precisely what effect bribe has on the agents? Like how much to give for what result, how often...

I just bribed one Agent yet - but I suppose the result in Standing increase to Agent/Agent¦s Corp / Agent¦s Faction depends on the Quality of the Agent.
The one I bribed accepted gifts between 30 - 300k - every once in a while ....

Bribing an agent results in two things:
1) A FACTION standing increase/decrease in proportion to the amount of the bribe (mainly). Check the Faction window on the Corp Window for the NPC corp to find out who your corp likes (+faction with these groups) and who they dislike (-faction with these groups)
2) A CORPORATION standing increase in proportion to the amount of the bribe.
Both are capped based on the level of the agent.
Level 1 agent: 2.00 max
Level 2 agent: 4.00 max
Level 3 agent: 6.00 max
(level 4 agent: 8.00 max)
(level 5 agent: 10.00 max)
The last two are not implemented yet.

What is the effect of those faction and corp standing increase (or decrease)? U get more reward? u get referred to other agents faster?

I found that 50K does nothing, usually 200k -500k does the trick.
Useless though IMHO

Actually, what I need to know is:
does bribing your lvl2 agent make it faster to get your lvl3 agent?
if yes, any idea how much you can speed it up, and at what cost?

Why not figure this out yourself? All the information is there for you - look at your standings before you bribe, then after. Decide if it's worth 30k to get that much standing increase.
