I kinda got bored with the security mission so I took a look at mining missions.
I must say this is probably the most boring thing I have ever seen at least for lv1-2. All missions are about the same, they all have the exact ore quantity needed for the mission and nothing more. If you have drone lv2 you can just let the drones handle some stray rat but you can also ignore.
It's worse than wow quests, you get to the quest area and there are 4 pigs, you kill them and mission complete. It's like security missions where you only have the "complete" trigger ships and nothing else.
CCP needs to make some changes:
- add extra ore there, thing of this like the "escort" ore.....
- spread the ore at random. It's always the same rock of exactly 2000m3
- add some occasional low-sec, null-sec ore just as the random/special/faction spawns from security.
- add more mission or at least change their names, there are like 5 of them. CCP added dozens of mining agents but there are 5 missions.
- make some random missions. Missions need 2-3 types of ore at random but with actual trigger to make sure it gets mined.
The way mining missions look now is like an incomplete, half done job.

Anyway this mining missions look like a very bad developer hours investment from CCP.
- CCP created a lot of mining agents but only like 5 missions/level.
- they are so borring that probably nobody does them.
- you don't get anything from them except the mission ore. It's like you would do security missions where no lot drops or salvage Probably another reason very few players run them. That is if any players run them at all.
One fix would be to add some standard ore in this missions.... |

How can mining missions be broken more than they are now? All you can do is mine x amount of the quest ore and that's it. And the occasion rat....
If security missions were like mining mission they would look like this: One ships for the complete trigger, no loot and no salvage. The end! Oh, yea, and some random rat that shoots your ship for 1 dmg.
Security missions are about combat ships so you can shoot more ships than the mission require, get loot and extra money.
So mining missions are about mining . You should be able to do some extra mining. Probably the mining missions were made by new dev guy from CCP that had no clue what he was doing.
What's even more stupid, you can do mining in some security missions as if security mission runners have nothing better to do... |

And the point of this thread is that the Mining missions should be buffed for example by adding some standard ore, some Ice or some rare minerals at random.
Adding the extra asteroids in the mining mission would solve the income problem a bit. |
