Sorry - n00b question
How is this possible - how do u get around the sentry guns going crazy when u shoot at someone approaching the gate?
entry point to system works (but using drones to lag is an exploit IMHO...), but i dont understand how u can sit at a gate and do it?
2) if u hit someone outisde a station in 0.0, the guns wont react because the attacker doesnt take a sec hit right?

I am certain it is possible to sensor-damp sentry guns, preventing them from locking on to you. Or you just use Tachyons and sit well outside their range.
Your 425mm Prototype I Gauss Gun perfectly strikes some nublar, wrecking for 1155.0 damage. |

so if u see one or 2 people at a 0.4 gate - they may have jammed both the sentry guns - then they will attack u?

It would help to read the Patch note !
You can not jam the sentry guns anymore...

If my info is correct, it's not possible to jam the guns anymore. This was fixed a patch or 2 ago.
Also, if your sec. rating = -10, you cannot loose any rating anymore, and sentry guns only fire at ppl who loose sec. rating...
I don't know if this exploit was fixed or not, but this was how they did it.

Sensor Damping stacks too. so all you need is an ECM vessel and them turrets be gone!
Now, if it doesn't work... it would cause problems for what concerns the jamming of people since jamming is now hostile and the range on those modules BLOWWWWS.

so - your saying, that anyone camping at a 0.4- 0.1 gate must have an ecm boat to dampen both the guns?
1) even then surely they will still lock eventually
2) requires a hefty force - at most i usually see 2/3 campers?
