Right before i start im not complainingfrom losing a ship or anything but i wasjust in 0.0 where there was a gate camp and i just dont get pirates.Ok they want to kill people fair enough but where do they earn there isk.They are all flyimg aroung in battleships and hac's but how do they afford it just blowing people up thanks to any answers i get.

some life pretty good of what the one above me told you. some do the same and are happy if they have more on their wallet at the end of the day then the one before.
and some are just alts of pretty ****1n rich producing agent *****s.... so they don't care, no matter they suck or not.

Alot of PVPer's/Pirates have carebear alts to make their Isk for them.

0.0 gatecamps are not necesarily pirates.

During high traffic times, and with a little luck, you can earn enough money to buy a HAC in an hour. Sometimes in a single strike. Sure, it's hit or miss, but that's part of the fun.
You just would not believe what some people haul around in a Tech I hauler without an escort.

And like was posted above. If you are in 0.0, chances are that area is claimed by an alliance, and a gate camp is their way of keeping people out of their alliance space.
They're just defending the border of their "land".
Or it could be just a pirate gate camp. In which case, it's all about the kill mails, the kills, the whineing, and the loot. You'd be suprised what even carebare mission runners have on their ships.

Maybe they are killing you for light entertainment.
Grinding ISK isn't a 23/7 occupation in EvE.

I think ppl need to relise that althought you can do anything you want in eve then "Main" driving power behind it is the combat. it a space combat game... ie shooting killin and destroying anything that moves.
Respect can be found for your enemy.... its jus a case of how hard you wanna look...

people kill things or camp gates cos they like shooting people, sometimes u get good loot or a good fight, thats what eve is about having fun, although i personally blame it on verone he made me ebil

I do it for fun. I had a great plan earlier.. A dominx guard an Exhumer while it was sucking Ice. Jumped in my kestrel with 2 sensor dampeners and 1 +2 Warp Scram.
Locked the Exhumer, dampened the dominx and let the missiles fly! Untill i orbited to close to the Dominix :D
Its all about the fun baby! How can you get that while hauling millions of trit and mining?

You don't have to make ISK to enjoy the game either. Some ppl just get off on killing like they do in other games.

I once took down an Amarr cruiser which had a True Sansha Armor Hardener . Of course i offered ransom, but at first she blocked my communication and when she finally answered, it was too late, the npcs blew her up and the Hardener dropped into the loot can. Lucky me.

i havent made good isk in several weeks now. I just got addicted to hunting people and kicking people out of 'MY' territory('s)
