[1] Oh Tommy Boy - Oh dear Oh dear. First, I noticed your Corp was 'League of Gentlemen', and did you laugh when I said on local - "This is a local system for local people" - no you didn't. Now you are going to kill me if I leave Stain - the only way out is curse. Tell me ain't so Tommy - tell me it ain't so! |

I think many of us see the point of EVE is to control resources, and thus areas of space. I believe this adds to the game play for the vast majority of players. You can become a part of an allience and defend it (as we do). You can make your stand against alliences you don't like and fight them (as RUS do). You can become a hustler and lie and cheat your way in an steal our stuff. You can be a smuggler, and use your skills to sneak in and take what you want. You can become involved in great wars, distant adventures, intrigue and politics, or the bordom of border patrols - all depending on alliences forming in game. If you don't want to be involved in this type of play, then there are vast areas of Empire space where you can develop manufacturing, trade, etc - without being effected by alliences at all. What will kill this game is to force one type of gameplay on everyone in EVE. If people play chess they do not object to the fact they can't use all the squares, or complain that the opponents queen takes off one of theirs if they move into range. No - they use the pieces they have to their own advantage. If you can bring 30 BS, then you have the means to play the game in just about anyway you like. |

Tommy started it - it is his fault! He said he is waiting with the big boys to get me when I leave my house |
