Hey guys!
So, CCP t0rfifrans has released some news, asking you guys which ship models you'd love to see!
You can check out the news article here, and this thread is for discussion of it.

This is aweseome feedback, there is obviously a very strong interest in ship models. Someone asked what kind of sizes and prices we are looking at, and the answer is that we are looking at different parts of the spectrum. We want to provide something affordable, which still stands up to quality. And then we also want to do something for those that really want a massive, huge pimped out ship with no holds barred. When looking at the market and other major sci-fi properties that have done ship models, we can see that these ubermodels are actually quite popular and can really tie a room together. |

There are a lot of ships mentioned, looking at the numbers it-¦s interesting to see how spread out the interest is. Still, a few are at the top, in descending order:
Rifter
Nyx-á
Hel-á
Megathron
Hyperion
Machariel
Abaddon
Scorpion
Tengu
Thorax
But right after those, ships like Legion, Naglfar, Hurricane, Maller, Merlin, Naga come in strong. We hope to be able to make some announcements at Fanfest, but again, it will take some time to get these in your hands, due to the nature of manufacturing physical products.
We may not start with the Rifter, even if it's at the top. We'll also be looking at what ships lend themselves best to being modelled, what ships have been recently renovated and other factors. The more recently renovated ships exist in more detail in our source model library, and thus are easier to convert into physical models than the older ones.
Still, there is obviously interest in word. Now we must make a few, see how they sell and take it from there!

Wyvern had around ten mentions, ranking it at 57, according to our rough calculations. There's a lot of ships to cover! |

We're looking at something more akin to the original ships. The collector edition Rifter was ofc a USB hub, so there was lightweight plastic used for the frame. These would not be USB hubs, just models. |
