CCP Rise has been with the company for a little bit over a year now. He is one of the most visible members of our game design team, working heavily on balancing ships alongside CCPs Fozzie and Ytterbium. In this Developer Spotlight, we took a look at what he does with the company, how he got here, and a little bit about him as a person!
Also, this week we tried a different format, as compared to last week. This time we did a rather straightforward Q&A session as opposed to an article. Let me know which version you prefer!

also .. sounds like there are too many meetings not enough fixing the game being done..

Tech 3's need to be multi role ships not cruiser hulls with battleship tank and insane resists
ABC's are clearly T2 in all but name.. remove drone assist mechanic.

Proves that there is definitely a huge barrier to anyone getting hired who actually does not buy into the groupthink of "null sec good, everything else bad".

That I agree with. Hopefully this type of insight might give confidence to others that many gamers dream career is actually available to people with the right attitude and aptitude.
On the subject of format, the interview with Punkturis was ok and so was the Q&A, though I liked the Q&A a bit more. I think trying different formats, anything that works well, would be a better approach that trying to find one single formula. |

Developer Spotlight? Oh man, you're definitely scraping the bottom of the barrel now to come up with this thread topic.
The whole idea behind the Community Spotlight was great at first.
You've lost touch with the original premise of it and instead of focusing on individual veteran players who have contributed and shared their time earned knowledge with the Eve Community, you now profile newbs, corps, alliances, web sites, employees, etc.
