Depends on the situation:
Under contract if kills are required then most of fights is outnumbered.
If fighting to annoy enemy dont give them anything

When ppl smack me in local ..I often offer them a 1on1 to calm down their anger (a 2th chance). But its only 25% of em that say "okay" and when they come out ..their hole corp or gang warps in (one becomes a bunch., manners?).
anti-pirates ..sorry ..but those are often the lame ones ..So offcourse i like killing em  and allways will do |

Well thats the waffels for ya. Too bad your corp mate didn't fair so well, they got a geddon with the waffe swarm. Gotta love the little griefers.
Also it is kinda painfull seeing a ABP guy even start a thread like this. I have tried to attack them with even odds or less but they only seem to travel in gank groups that outnumber you 5 or more to 1. Just my experience with ABP. Not saying that may be true for everything they do.
