The way I understand it, OP convinced the Goon that the package contained a billion+ or whatever worth blueprint whereas in truth there is only some worthless Datasheet or some other 0,1 m3 crap, relying on Greed of the recruiter to break the contract and thus forfeiting the 400 mil collateral.
Even if the Goon had actually fulfilled the contract, OP would have just lost whatever crap was in the contract (now inacessible in a Null-sec station) and I think 11000 ISK in fees, which is not a very high stake for a potential 400 Mil ISK win.
But truth be told, I would be more interested why this guy should have left Goonswarm Federation.
Was he kicked? Left on his own? Any Goons willing to answer this one?

I don't know the guy, and so can't say for sure... but I don't think I'm revealing anything particularly secret when I note that there's been a lot of CFC-wide broadcasts recently about internal security reorganizations. Timeline is right for a kick based on that, so it's possible that he got kicked after failing some security check. That said, it's equally likely that (as a new/probationary member) he got kicked for doing something else stupid, which might involve anything, including getting scammed by OP. It would not be the first time goons have purged new recruits for reasons of stupidity (there are plenty of amusing stories on the goon forums attesting to this). |
