How does one go about doing this? I've had more than a few offers from agents that require illegal goods. I have no idea on how to move these items. Can anyone give some insight on how this is done? |

As is written in al lthe other threads on smuggling, contraband, black market trading:
90% chance to get stuffed when they scan you. Nothing helps but pure luck, scouting and kicking your agent.

Before I realized it was risky to carry that stuff I used to haul all my contraband around when I moved to new systems. Did it 4-5 times over 20+ jumps with it... never got caught once. Is this rare?

The legal system is on and off and on and off and works and bugs out at no known pattern.
Sometimes you're really lucky and it works, the next day you might get caught even right when you're undocking.
There's been a time when we could haul the stuff we looted freely as long as the mission wasn't finished. That's been fixed.

i once got an agent offer to haul 8000 slaves into Minmatar space. The way i did it was making an ALT(because im chicken carebear) trained him to fly smallest minmatar indy, with a few mods to help me warp faster.
Then made instas all the way from start to end and back. And then i went on my merry way doing the mission.
End result. Did 12 runs total. Lost 2 indys, got fined 8 times, lost two loads of slaves and in the end my alt, owed Concord 73M isk.
The reward on this mission ended up in the 700M isk area, so well worth the hassle.
Would i do it again?
for 700M YES, for less.. No
It took me 4 days to setup the alt and instas.
I spend about 50M isk on ships/skills, and buying the slaves in amarr.
It took me 2 days to complete the runs.
Was it fun? Yes, very much.
But the only reason i could do this mission is because slaves are easy and cheap to get, Drugs arent.
So my recomendation, only do it if you need to haul something that can be bought off market in huge amounts. And only if the reward is very very good.

Very frustrating this. I went back to my old (over two years ago) L3 agent in Lower Debyl. Recently. Turns out I have over 3mil of contraband down there. Of course when I got it it wasn't worth as much but neither was it contraband. I wish I'd cleaned it out back when I stopped using that agent

It says in issue #2 of EON the the black market skill gives you a 10% bonus per level to the chance you will not be detected with contraband. I just rolled up a character withthat skill after reading that and now i hope to get to smuggling. I'm thinking I'll hit up Serpentis and see if they have any work for me. Maybe i can smuggle my way to some nice Snake implants.
