You did well. Like most of the posters here, I agree that you could have fired your missiles off at the target when he engaged his MWD, you could have returned the single targetted drone and a webber/painter would have been useful. Main thing is you didn't panic and freeze. Your philosophy is good too: you walked away intact and no ship loss and no smack either.
Well done.
Now get yourself into a t1 frigate and go find some....

Condor is a very good ship if used as a tackler. Maybe his gang buddies just turned up a bit too late

Condor is a very good ship if used as a tackler. Maybe his gang buddies just turned up a bit too late

Since most of the pvp in eve is blobbing, you will die alot unless you fit wcs to the ship. Its not like that extra low slot will give you the win if you dont. 
How will one WCS help you against a blob?

First I would have to say is even though your corp says never 1 v 1 or if you dont stand a chance don't do it is wrong. Just like everyone thinks cause some guys has played 2 months longer he can win the fight. It is all stupid. Ferox is also nothing to be scared of. Wow someone has a ferox now lets go kill it. Plain and simple. Setup and tactics is most important. Team work if you have it. Now don't get me wrong I love a challenge even one I know I can not win. I go after cruiser, battle cruiser, even battle ships in my punisher. I have yet to have a battle ship fight back but i have killed quite a few cruisers and some battle cruisers in it. The whole cause it is bigger never works. Sorry hate to say it. Stand your damn ground, loose a ship if need be to learn. That is best you can do.
