Tanks aren't actually that bad to insure, my brother owns an FV432 that he uses for charity events, costs him about -ú300 fully comp through a specialist broker like Adrian Flux or Footman James.

An APC is a track. As are IFVs and ARVs. *** Vote MTU For CSM *** ***Free The Jita 1*** "They feel the need to cover their ears and eyes in horror at your very presence." - Pontianak Sythaeryn "Despite others being missing, at least Ramona is back." - Scipio Artelius |

One weekend roam and I would crash the Insurance market. That's why it won't work. Too many targets would lose too many hulls to me.

While i don't have any concrete ideas about how to do someting like this, I've always felt that if EVE has insurance, it should maybe be a player run thing (with automation support of some kind) rather than 'lose ship, get isk' like it is now. |

Surely with a SRP, running an insurance scam is a way to turn a personal profit, no? I'm not sure where the scam is then in an SRP scheme where losing my ship in an alliance strategic op means I get a good portion (usually all) of my fitted ship's cost straight back into my wallet. If you choose to spend the ISK on a replacement ship, that ISK goes into the wallets of players who import those ships from other areas, either from highsec markets or manufacturing sites elsewhere.
