1. im in a galante catalyst(destroyer) and i hav a feeling my setup sucks. 2 scout accelerator cannons(railguns) and 2 150mm regular rail guns and one magnetic field. will someone give me a complete range setup idea for my ship as a fighter that is not tooexpensive please
2. are shields worth it? should i invest in them
3. Fighting- i cant find anything to fight except trough agents. is there another way that is very profitable besides flying around to random astroid belts and picking drones off 2 at a time
4. on the topic of money as a fighter should i be focousing more on loot to make money or agent quests?
anwsers to these questions will be appreciated thanks!

Edited by: GC13 on 07/05/2006 17:00:31 1) Try using all 125mm railguns. Eight of them, loaded with antimatter charge s. That will do well against NPCs. If you want to go up against players, toss a stasis webifier on there too.
2) Gallente = armor. Ignore your shields. Caldari = Shields. We ignore our armor.
3) Security, Internal Security, Intelligence, Surveillance. Try agents in those divisions (especially the first two).
4) Agent missions drop plenty of loot (if you're doing missions from those above divisions). Of course, most people end up refining the unnamed loot they get ("125mm railgun I" for example) and selling named loot ("125mm 'scout' I accelerator cannon" for example). But still, agent missions tend to be nice money.
EDIT: 5) You join a corporation by going to a station with one of their offices (ask them for what station to go to), hitting Apply at their office (one of the tabs on the right of the window), getting them to accept the application, and accepting the offer you get. A good corporation is good to join because you get access to stuff a single player wouldn't be able to achieve, and you have access to a lot of people to help you out when you need it. Plus, PvP is always safer in a group (since you'll almost certainly have to fight groups of enemies anyway). A bad corporation is bad to join because it'll be just like the default newbie corporation, but with a tax.

Quote: Caldari = Shields. We ignore our armor. ugh
hmm I dont agree with you. some builds have some armor tank but not that efficient e.g. caldary interceptor with EW in mids and one small repairer to get some more seconds to get out your ass if it starts to become hot or a scorpion with multi jammers in mids usually uses armor tank
@topic try to fit your high slots full with 125 rails and one webber in mids to deal with fast ships. search security, command and internal security agents for kill missions.

Too much info too fast. Still, yeah, ECM ships especially tend to fit something resembling an armor tank. But that's only because their mids are spoken for. But that's an exception to the rule.
