Edited by: Kalissa on 13/05/2006 07:24:12 Two good ones here. One that happened to me and another that happened to a corp mate but I heard it go down on TS.
The first one was my very first day in the game. The BF1942 clan I was in had a few guys playing Eve so I thought I'd give it a go, they were all in a corp called Deathstar International so I'd joined them. They took me out into EC-P8R on a patrol, they were all in cruisers/BS's and there was me in my lowly Ibis, we engaged a couple of people and I for some weird reason got called primary, this is what I remember saying on TS..
"guys I'm being attacked, wow, this is great look at the effects!!" "ok, guys my ship is gone, wow that was cool, I think I'm in my pod" "guys I'm back in the station, whats happened guys? Where are you??"
I can still remember the laughing on TS.
And now the other one.
I guy from our corp about year ago had just got a character off a guy who'd left the game, it had implants in it, had about 10million SP and was a fairly decent all around char. The guy who now had the character had been in game about 3 months but had no experience with combat at all, he was at that time a total carebear. He was in c4c and heading back to the station in his itty 5 when Death Row (DIE) warped to the station, he's instantly scrambled and he makes a run for the station, he's put into his pod but he's within touching distance of the station and makes a run for it and docks..
Well you could hear the relief in his voice, his heart was in his mouth, he'd just come real close to losing a load of implants that he really treasured. A bit of time goes by and I ask him if the c4c station is still in friendly hands (this is before POS's so stations could be attacked at will) He asks me how he can tell, and I say "well just look in the top right of the screen, what corp holds the station."
To this he replies "Lai Dai" but as he's saying the "Dai" part his voice trails off as he realises he has infact been podded and has lost his implants.
Everyone on TS hears his headset being thrown down and he disappears for nearly a half hour (a half hour to be honest in which the rest of us needed to stop ourselves laughing) He came back, and it was like he was a changed character, gone was the carebear, now he had no implants he was all up for PVP'ing. And he's been like that ever since. We still tell that story to new members of the corp and it still makes us laugh (and the guy concerned now laughs about it too now)
