When Eve crashes while you have fighters deployed from your carrier, one of three things happens:
1) They "disappear" totally, and reappear when you exit your lag warp, so that you can scoop them.
2) They "reappear" early in your lag warp spot, but you cannot stop the lag warp back to where you came from, so they remain there and are unprobe-able.
3) They "disappear" and never reappear.
Number 3 just happened to me in UTKS, only a few days after Number 2 happened to four of my fighters. This time I've lost the last nine that I had, five templars and four firbolgs. I wouldn't be bothered so much if fighters weren't 20 Million ISK apiece, and my losses of 13 fighters to carrier bugs hadn't exceded 260 million isk.

They warp to the emergency Safespot when you crash, and then when you log back in... They simply are unrecoverable..

Perhaps if there was a way to 'reconnect' with lost drones. That is, after loosing connection or the like, you have the option of being able to turn your drones back on. In the case of fighters, it would allow you to bring them back if they got lost in your SS; or in the case of regular drones, once you get within control range of them they can be turned on by their original owner. --------------------------------------------------

Dear CCP:
While I don't use fighters, or Carriers, and never will, would it really be all that hard to have a 'Recall Fighters' command?
Recalls any fighters in the system to have them warp to the carrier and dock.

they will probably get stuck @ 200 km from your ship, just like drones get stuck @ 2 km _________________________________________________ In worldwar 2 they called me *****slap |

Hey, but there is a new option for mini-profession; retrieving lost fighters with old fashioned safespot busting.
Some 1M kms from nearest warp point isn't that hard; although probably not considered high enough income for the carrier pilot itself..
-Lasse Yes, it's a bug IMHO, with some reasonable simple fix (like, fighters should not follow ship doing emergency warp, but remain disconnected on the crash spot).

No he goes and docks for a sandwitch and some Quafe, then realizes he can hock your 20 mil fighter and get himself a cruiser and still have a lot of money to play with |Sig kept small to dodge forum flame targeting| |
