Im looking at a vulture fit myself, those extra resists might help me live longer. I was trying to pick off the crusiers 1 by 1 and warp out/repair/warp back. my structure just evaporated though while the warp drive spun up. I have learned to fit a DC2 to my pve fits, cos once those shields go I just melt. edit: Also considering training my large turret skills and just sitting in a naga until I can jump to a rokh. So over my ferox, I lose 1 gun, 1 field purger and gain a midslot. I cant see how this would help as I died due to not being able to kill fast enough to get into warp. Maybe if I upskill a bit so I can fit another Large F-s9 shield induction? You don't use any mag stabs? no, no mag stabs. the one I lost had 3 power relys in the lows instead of the dc2, has 3 field purgers and uses 6 guns 1 tractor beam. (I cant fit the 7th gun into the turret yet). Yeah makes sense.... Together with the resists I'm thinking a massive shield tank might be an option. not sure whether to go for active or passive though. I liked the passive tank as it let me use my cap for my Aburner and guns. I had alot of fun in the lev 3 missions until I got squished. It felt like sometimes I could aggro a room and watch my tank slowly sink to 50%, then watch it slowly rise again to 90% as I killed off the npcs and they couldnt break my tank. the npc battleships though chewed through me so very terribly fast... I dont know if an active tank would have saved me tbh. Theres that much incoming damage in that mission. You would use the vulture in a large fleet. I hate missiles with a passion ever since I sat and watched a rat with 2% structure left chew at me for for 35 secs worth of reload time and recover half its shields. Ferox has dps 259, ehp 37k 68 therm resist and 76% kinetic resist, tanks 124 dps and its cap lasts 6m 37 vulture has dps 243, ehp 56.3k 84% therm resist and 93.8% kinetic resist, tanks 113 dps and it cap lasts 10m 41 secs If I fit the vulture with 2 kinetic deflection IIs I get cap stable at 46% with 91.5% kin resist. if I get my advanced weapons upgrade enough to fit the 7th gun on the ferox I get 303 dps. So in conclusion, for a small loss in dps you increase your health pool by 50% and probably take a third of the damage from rats (if my understanding of how resistances work is correct) mobilty and warpout times are so close they aren't worth mentioning and ofc your cap stable with the vulture. Can a vulture do part ten of kidnappers? I have no idea. I found it by using a heron/tarya and spamming distribtion missions while declining all combat storylines. I've researched the Rokh for level 4s and theres a general agreement its a bad ship for them and I will probably lose that too. Combat missions will have to wait a year until I get round to missile skills. Apparantly the solution (according to E survival) was to bring a raven. (http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=KidnappersStrike3gu). I'll have another go at the combat missions, see if I can make them work for me and my little ferox As far as I can tell though its missiles for pve and guns for pvp. Im balls deep in my gun skills, plus dieing in merlins is fun! espec when I can get a kill :) I cant afford to lose ferox's though..
