Melisandre thinks Jon Sneugh is Azor Ahai (chosen of the red god or some such) instead of Stannis. Tyrion kills Shae. The Hound dies (probably). A few cats become knights. Cersei and Jaime do the nasty next to Joffrey's corpse.

As to game of thrones itself, I think it's a decent show with good acting (see the ** Joffrey) and good writing (e.g. Bronn in every scene). I can understand it's not to everyone's taste, but that doesn't make it a bad show. And really, it's all just a matter of opinion anyways. If you disagree with someone, no need to give a ** about their opinion really.
