Round #79 of the BIG Lottery
The BIG Lottery 3 Year Anniversary Round
Status so far
Numbers from last round, at this time in the round, in ()'s
Participants : 574 (45)
Tickets sold : 2,064,624 (67,997)
It ofc doesnt say much to compare the numbers so far with those from last round.
One interesting comparison that can be made however, is between the value of tickets sold and the value of the prizes.
As the prizes are worth in excess of 6.5B ISK, theres clearly some way to go yet.
Or, you could choose to disregard anything above 3B ISK, as that are all donations (which we are *extremely* gratefull for).
In that respect things are actually looking peechy.
Theres stil a week to go yet, and I'd be very surprised (and disappinted) if we didnt reach 3B ISK in ticket sales.
And hopefully alot more.
Anything in excess of what the BIG Lottery itself has put up as prizes, will be used for future prizes (ie. BIG won't stuff it into the corp wallet)
At the BIG Lottery 2nd anniversary we managed to get 6B+ ISK 'profit', which has been paid out over the year (as there rarely where enough tickets sold to cover the prizes we put up).
I doubt we'll reach the same amount of tickets sold this time.
Main reason beeing the lack of exposure on the EVE frontpage player news, which (although abit late) last year made ticket sales *roar*.
CCP this year sadly seems to be disinterested in marking this special player event on the player news... (even with plenty and multiple of advance notices...)
Happily we got a sticky in the General Discussion forum, which in itself has meant quite the difference.
I'm very grateful to Neb for this.
I have to admit that I this year as well have been toying with the idea of a 'sidebet' for guessing just how many tickes will get sold, as I myself find it fun to guess at  (and no, I'm not bothering to actually doing it - But feel free to guess anyhow  .
I'd think theres a chance we might hit the 5B ISK in tickets sold, based on curent sales. It'll be close though I think.

Why dontcha put the link in your sig?
This way you can trash every forum topic you visit that has something to do with big corp and not have to think of another clever way to destroy a legitimate service to the eve public.
Get a life mate, this lottery is something big does with nothing gained for themselves.
Sure your not happy with their sales department, but dont go trashing their lottery thread - its completely different and meant for the public of eve for announcements, not for self important idiots like yourself to hijack and flame.
You made your point in your first whine. No need for another. Just makes evil bastar'ds like me wanna pod your ass for the next 6 months
