Hey guys.. just wondering what playerbase EVE has that are Australian? Players, corps, etc. Sometimes my solo ratting at 8am EVE time (6pm EAST) just gets a little too lonely ;)

There's a fairly large Aussie/NZ population ingame. There are a few ANZAC corps in various alliances. What sort of game experience are you looking for? I'm not familiar with the empire crowd but I do know that there is a noticable prescence in 0.0.

Yarrr there is definately alot of us around... jump in the ingame 'ANZACS' chat channel to find fellow Aussies.

I've been playing for almost two months now and have been ratting successfully in 0.2 space. Since I work full-time, I'm more wondering how many Aussies are around, what regions they are in and to see if I'm able to find some new friends that have similar play times.
If you know of any corps or alliances that I could contact that'd be pretty handy :)

There's entire Aussie corps. ANZAC is one I believe (CEO: Bjoern Bitter)
Quite a few well-known Aussies too ^^. Shoots at a passing Kangaroo wearing a wizard hat.
Also, there's an aussie/NZ channel, I forget the name, but I think it's ANZAC as well  (Edit: ANZACS it is!) Might be a good place to hang out if you're looking for some company.

My Corp is 23/7, but we have upwards of 30 AU/NZ memebers. TOG as a larger group (outside of EVE) is made up largely of AU/NZ folks.

What does ANZAC stand for, anyway. I assume the first three are Australia/New Zealand. But what's the other A and the C stand for?
If you want to see what the Southern Hemisphere is capable of, take a look at the Kiwi Love Hut (Kiwi something or other at any rate) in norther Esoteria. Just search for Kiwi in P&P.

ANZAC stands for the Australia New Zealand Army Corps
Also check out the Anzac Alliance Corp, the original and the best
Convo Sharmina/Taran Blake, we are a 0.0 (living in the South)and Empire corp that also has players based in Empire doing missions etc so we have the best of both worlds.

It's from the old World Wars. It means Australia and New Zealand Army Corps... ie, our soldiers.
We have a public holiday called ANZAC Day that celebrates them, and we have cookies named ANZAC Cookies too!
I don't see the Americans having Independence Cookies, do I!

ANZC Alliance is the only corp. I know of that has a nice Aussie player base; I believe they are in Tribal Soul Alliance. On another note there is going to be EVE LAN on 20th of May in Brisbane at the SwtichLAN venue

Not a lot happens but its pretty fun to socialize with other people that play EVE when there is dead period when no one else is playing any other games. details!

Yep Aussie here, There is about 2-3 aussie corps around but AU/NZ player base is spread around... Anzac Alliance, is one of the biggest to the south and there in one to the North and I keep on forgeting the name of that corp.
When is CCP going to Have an Fanfest in Australia... We should get one...since we get the downtime all the time...and lose one hour of game time! 
Some people have Music or MP3....I collect EvE videos that I watch during downtime...oh well... My top 5 videos and worst top 5 videos coming soon!. |
