EDIT: Also I have seen a tactic with 3 blasterthrons where they all carry 5 Large armor repair bots and in the heat of battle they put them on the guy taking the most firepower. 10 heavy repair bots are equal to about 3-4 large armor reps every 10 seconds. They also cost no energy to use. Ownage. Heeeey guess what? Any battleship with at least 125 drone capacity can do this too. Suck their cap dry, tank their damage, mass ECM, and have heavy drones kill them. You could probably do it with a 75 capacity drone bay too, just much more slowly. But the Dominix can perform this tactic 50% faster so whaaaaa! ...

Since I was nearly done with training for an Apoc, I went shopping for a temporary replacement and noticed the Arbitrator for the first time. A few weeks later.....the Apoc still isn't getting out of the hangar very often. Drones 5, Drone Interfacing 3. I wouldn't have bothered getting a Maller for my first cruiser if I'd known how low-stress dronepwn can be.

I may have specialized in Torps instead ... I may still do so depending on how they "fix" the T2 ammo. Drones work amazingly well for solo work and I am very happy with my SP spent in that area.

Droneships pwn for only one reason, and that is that they can fit all high and med with stuff to stop you from shooting and tanking while still being able to deal some damage. Drones all on their own are not anywhere near as powerful as missiles or guns though. I mean you don't see gun and misile ships trying to jam and NOS everyone before even starting to shoot right?
