I was hoping for more hairstyles and such.
(or is anything new going to end up in the NeX?)

One of the things i am disappointed with when the jita riots happened was the stopping of development for the char creator. it could use a refresh tbh. |

At last years fanfest (I think) they talked about and showed examples of blending the different races together to give us more options. The demo definitely looked pretty cool ( you can find it on YouTube).
One thing they definitely need to work on is more realistic hair. It is a shame you have these super realistic beautiful avatars with hair that looks like a six year old drew it with crayons (one of the reasons this avatar is bald). |

Development of EVE Online stopped a few years ago. It's currently in life support mode, maintained by a skeleton crew.
CCP Games, a small game company, is now focused on developing a Facebook game called Valkyrie.

I'd love to have a out of game character creator where I can save presets and make portraits for contests, maybe some posturing on blank backgrounds so one could, if so inclined, create stories and comics with it. It would surely give rise to some form of EVE related creative content. Maybe development could be financed with the PR budget?

The only way to get new avatar content from CCP is to ask them to release paid (collector's) edition with said content. For around $99-199. |

Actually there is an option to green screen the character creator. It's in the Esc menu. |

I suspect we will see more WoD-ish options in the future. Sadly they will have nothing to do with Eve's original capsuleer theme.

I'd settle for CCP finishing what they have. As a friend pointed out recently, EVE characters all seem to suffer from botox face. There are bugs in the lighting model. The shirts for women tend to suffer from a terminal case of static cling. Gallente women tend to have plastic-looking skin.
More options would be good. I'd particularly like for EVE to go back to its wild roots as far as clothing options go.

The door needs to open but CCP doesn't actually want to add any more content to EVE. Its in maint mode now while they try to figure out something else to make money so they can just ignore EVE entirely. |

If they open the door and add more WiS content, it would have to pertain to spaceships.
The only useful thing that would also justify the inconvenience of leaving your pod would be sneaking into someone else's quarters and rummaging around their logs and files, checking for ships, types, cargo lists, corporate hangars, offices, member lists, etc. Things that are required to be between you and no one else to make sure no one can ever know it.
