I strongly urge TS to take this offer and not slur their name even more.
Ok you didnt want to fight...thats cool but your behaviour on the forums has been less than mature and now you wish to employ someone else to do your dirty work for you?!
Im disappointed that someone would even want to fight for TS, isnt that like taking a fat chick to a club? you dont wanna be seen with them, but if they are paying....hmm....no even i have my limits, fat chicks 4tl reputation 4tw.

I haven't seen much outrageous forum behaviour from TS. Sure they rolled over kinda easy but wtf you guys are good and it was lopsided from the start.
Oh and people who don't want to fight hire mercs all the time. Better that than just fading away imho. Altough I have to say it beats me how any merc outfit could possibly beat ASCN in paragon soul. Killwise sure but if we are looking at supporting the logistical monstertask that it is to outpos and totally dominate paragon soul so that TS can get their stuff out then I don't see how it's possible by any of the current merc outfits. Bar GHSC ofcourse but that would take a year or so

Last act of a desperate alliance in my eyes, take the offer and they have all the isk they need to start again with pride and head held high, employ mercs and its kinda all over as they will be seen as weak and unable to achieve anything. sure they might get some stuff out but what a pit of death PS will be and how weak will TS be considered in the eve peeps eyes forever.....
TS take the deal and move on.

I don't get the complaints and crying from some people. Cyvok seems to do his job well and he also abuses this forum properly for his propaganda needs and its other functions. I would say he is doing a fine job for his alliance.
I also would claim that looking like a tough dog who can force other alliances players to act on his terms wont hurt his reputation as a good leader inside his alliance either.
And for the "its a game" people: yes it is a game and exactly this is part of this "game" and that is also what makes it better then most other games.

Nasty. And I don't understand with ASCN's history why people even deal with them. The part of this I do find interesting is that ASCN doesn't have .5 or BoB to hide behind anymore. That they're doing this without backup from another alliance. Definitely a change in their operating procedure. Interesting.

Turned on former friends and fought them side by side with .5 They fought along side .5 and BoB against against many people even if they had no vested interest in the outcome. And then there was the G/IRON/RAZOR invasion. A fight ASCN was losing until BoB took one of IRON's outposts and put the pressure on them. So your answer is all the way until the TRUST outpost fell and BoB changed their standings and started firing on ASCN pilots.

Your comments saying ascn ws losing to g/iron etc is inaccurate. They caused more losses but it took something like a mth to eventually get the station and even then ascn were goin to get it bak the day after (or after that, was awhile ago). Andattacking trust would have been in there interests also because G etc said they were goin to wipe them off the map so a pre emptive strike in a coalition is entirely justified.
The rest of your claims about hidin i wnt even bother with bcoz your argument is very wet tbh

First off, yes ASCN worked with 5 directly after formation, and for quite some time had standings set similarly to both 5 and BoB. That said, prior to EC- name me one engagement in which BoB and ASCN fought together? Or even .5. for that matter, I didn't see any ASCN pilots up in the east assisting against the reds, and I didn't see any requests for help either. ASCN wasn't up north assisting against PA/FE/NBSI/Etc either.
ASCN has stood on its own for quite some time now.
Oh, and that G/IRON invasion bit gets its own special paragraph...
First off, the invasion force was *primarily* G alliance. I completely fail to see where you're getting this bit about ASCN losing ground until BoB moved on IRON space (and actually, JUST JU-, but hey). G had managed to gain sovereignty in ONE out of 10 or so ASCN outpost systems.... for one night.
The POS war was very heated those last few days up to RMR release, since the sov rules were going to be changed. G made a number of attempts at zerging the system down (which has 60+ moons), all of which resulted in billions of isk in pos towers (this is when pos's were still cheap, even) lost for G. After a week or so of attempts, they managed to gain sov for one night, the night before the night before RMR release. ASCN however removed those PoSs the next day and was in position to regain sov for RMR release (which included the now 5 day sov claiming wait time, which would have secured the system indefinately for ASCN, the way the war was going).
To be fair to G, the time-zone discrepancy weighed in ASCNs favor for the most part, but regardless of any of that, ASCN defeated that invasion on their own terms. And as much as people like to point to the kill/loss ratio, it is VERY much worth considering that while yes we lost many more battleships.... G lost an equally impressive amount of isk in PoS hardware.
Anywho... this has nothing to do with G, BoB, or .5. sooooo yeah. Just me being bored at 5 a.m.
Oh, and this isn't an alt :)

Take the deal, its a smart move, in the risk stakes if your gonna pay for mercs to extra equipment and might get popped on enroute out with the equipment, compared with getting paid a fair price in the more useable isk, it makes far much more sense to take the opportunity and reconsilidate else where.
