The hater has arrived..
I liked Malka Badi'a, he was the only person I know that if you disagreed with something he said or some idea he came up with, that he would take it seriously enough and personal enough to convo you in-game and accuse you of being a troll or mocking him.
Malka Badi'a was the queen of pirates in his mind, a beacon of light for the uninventive swarm of noobs that obsessed over their daily tasks of killing small cruisers and posting long winded/boring stories about them on websites and forums such as these forums and EVE-Pirate.com. These noobs, who I will call the new age pirates.
Malka Badi'a was better known for taking already well-established setups and making long winded, fancy and colorful posts about them. These posts including philosphies and techniques and back stories which were mainly paragraphs detailing the strategies called 'common sense' with large words and long unconclusive sentences. Sometimes he even grouped complex words together in which their definition had no real connection to the context. In other words, he used big words just to use big words. For this, noobs worshipped him and loved him.
Some of his followers were not noobs, but most of the people who 'worshipped' him were younger than he was. Eventually he established a role-playing persona and also a constantly inflating ego which he was underseving of.
People will always say 'Malka Badi'a did more for the piracy community than anyone could dream of doing.' and I would merely answer, 'For thinking for the people who would not think for themselves, for pointing out common sense when others could not be bothered.'
Malka Badi'a, in your mind you might be the greatest thing to the piracy community and in the minds of the hordes of 2005.05+ players who fly their triple stabbed battleships bragging about each battlecruiser kill they get, but in the mind of any experienced player, you're just a egostistical weird role-player who is stuck on himself.
Thanks for the linkage =) A side note: Trepkos began generally nagging at pirates from a time when people started disagreeing with him. www.eve-pirate.com RAWR!11 Sig Hijack!11 - Imaran |
