Well if they didn't respawn then the asteroids you are mining now have been there since the beginning of the game. I will leave you to decide if this is plausible.
Save the Ubar asteroids

Yes, they do. They respawn at downtime, on different days of the week for each ore type. Existing 'roids grow, popped roids _may_ re-appear. -- We are recruiting |

why o why do people have to be so abrasive and or sarcastic when replying to peoples posts...
the OP is obviously unsure or he wouldnt be asking... no reason to reply with sarcasm or a non answer.
he does not have the benefit of experience, and although some people who have been playing a while quickly forget that EVE knowledge is not genetic or inherited.. It is acquired, usually through asking.
So to the OP, yes roids respawn, and as far as I know, if you scan the roid and mine it, leaving some mins in there, it will respawn quicker. mining a roid till it pops.. again as far as I'm aware will make it respawn slower.
And to the 1st poster, sorry m8, your reply is not as bad as some responses to innocent questions Ive seen, just gets my back up a bit. ===============================================

Because the post was taking up valuable room on the front page that could otherwise be used by threads about log on traps, HAC prices, the new voice chat service, the evil conspiracy that has stopped dev blogging, and whining about WCS.</sarcasm>
Seriously, though, there is an "EvE New Citizens Q&A" forum that might have been a more appropriate place for the OP. And there's a search box at the top right that brings up a post about 'roid respawn rates as its first result for "respawn". It doesn't bother me, but imagine what it would be like if every new player immediately asked these questions?
Edit: I've just re-read that and it makes me sound like an abrasive idiot. We should be more welcoming to new players.

At least my reply has the benefit of being true. Save the Ubar asteroids

Roids regrow when the devs remember to activate the respawn function in the DT. --*=*=*-- Megadon CCP wanted a well known artist and celebrity to test the new font so it's approval would be well known. They got Ray |

If you had bothered to try and understand my post, you might have noticed my little statement "as far as I know" clearly saying that I could be wrong.. I do not mine, if you know all of this, why dont you share it.. if you dont want to share it, dont bother replying.
At least I managed to reply to the OP with an answer to his question and was civil at all times... more than I can say for you.
try and be nice,, go on, see if you can. ===============================================

Oh, and roids do not grow faster because they're not popped. That rumour has been said not to be true by the devs on multiple occasions. --*=*=*-- Megadon CCP wanted a well known artist and celebrity to test the new font so it's approval would be well known. They got Ray |
