Makkuro Tatsu wrote:Rubicon 1.4 stability issue on Windows 8.1: client crashes when docking at stations. I undocked and docked twice -- in different star systems -- and the client crashed twice. I rebooted my machine between the crashes. I don't feel like trying a third time.
Could you please try to find if any crash dump was generated and send it through a bug report to us? You can also try to run logserver while trying to reproduce this crash and then send the log to us.
We are currently investigating a possible crash related to audio, so it might be interesting to disable audio and see if this helps as workaround. CCP Habakuk | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Gridlock-á Bug reporting | Mass Testing |

Nosleepy wrote:Nosleepy wrote:Hi, I'm also getting client crashes when docking at stations. Seems to be 100% reliable when running two concurrent clients on my PC with both chars in fleet, doesn't happen as much when running a single client. I was able to run multiple concurrent clients before the patch with no trouble at all. Running windows 8.1. I'll try logserver and turning audio off. It crashes reliably on dock so was quite easy to get /minidump and logserver records. I've submitted a bug report with them attached. Hope they help.
Makkuro Tatsu wrote:I did a couple of tests and observed a number of client crashes, but unfortunately it does not look like crash reports are generated. What I can tell now is this:
- No crashes occurred when the logserver was running.
- No crashes occurred when audio was switched off.
- With audio active, my client seems to crash in at least 50% of the docking attempts.
- My suspicion that I had to jump through a stargate before docking to provoke a crash turned out to be false.
Unfortunately I yet have to find a reliable way to always reproduce a client crash, but it happens far too often to be a random event.
Thank you! The dumps from Nosleepy and the additional information from Makkuro Tatsu seem to confirm, that these crashes are indeed audio-related and we have a fix already in the pipeline. We hope that we will be able to deploy it tomorrow. For today please feel free to disable audio, if you get too many crashes.

As some of you have noted, disabling the audio seems to resolve the crashes on docking/undocking.
We have found a bug which could explain these crashes and hope to have it out on TQ asap.

At this point it looks like a crash upon spawning in space. I just downloaded the new update after today's downtime on my mac OS X Client and I'm still crashing. I"m in space at the moment.
Have you tried disabling the audio? It would be useful information for us to know if you still have the issues with the audio disabled. |

Random Ruddick wrote:Since the patch on the 28th May 2014 I have now come across a problem with copying.
I tried to deliver a copying job that was complete but after it says it has Done it gives an error message
Installation Missing The installation containing the job to be delivered no longer exists.
Even though I can see it in the Corp installation list and it allows me to add new copying jobs to the same installation. This was a temporary bug on May 29 which has been fixed swiftly. You should be able to deliver your jobs again now. More information is available in thread here.
