i wish to know what would happen to the bpo`s being currently in research:? i have titan bpo in cook for next 3 months patch will be ( i can assume) earlier. What would happen to my job and BPO then?

so many noobs talking when they have nothing to say :/
ON CAPITAL SHIPS PROFIT IS LOW......and mostly is coming from those small differences between a bit better researched bpo or less.
Shoogie gave more less good numbers.

Angelina Duvolle wrote:If I have a supercap bpo in for pe1 now, and approximately 75% done (3 mos out of 4 total completed) when the patch hits in june, how will that be handled. Will it still come out at TE1, after 4 months of research, when the "new" TE1 would have taken much much less overall time? It seems like it should come out at a higher level given the amount of time it will have spent in research, but If the conversion is just based off the current level on the bpo, I'll fall thru the cracks?
CCP said they will make some funcy things with DB - still i have no idea what it means in that case
And answer for petition is : we can`t speculate about incoming patch.

Takara Mora wrote:Does anyone else see a problem with the potential length of higher-level research jobs in Kronos? It was mentioned earlier but haven't seen much discussion on this aspect ....
Currently almost everything(?) you do in EVE takes less than 1 - 2 months - and even the highest quality ME / TE can be incrementally improved in ~1 month increments.
Kronos seems to be bringing some research increments on the order of ~Years instead of months (for some BPO's) ...
What do people think - is this a significant issue or nothing to worry about?
When CCP seems to actively be making everything "more accessible" for newer players, does it make sense to be creating jobs that have to bake in the oven (without any interaction, completely all or nothing with no way to pause / stop / move / adjust for that long without losing all research costs/mats/progress)?
there was long discussion but was deleted by mods:P.
Yea we are aware of it.

Shoogie wrote:So much has changed in the last couple pages.
I gave my opinion on the ranks of capital ships some (20ish) pages ago. If titans are set at rank 480, then one can get that blueprint from ME0 to ME9 in 1 year, 2 months 23 days. Then for the last level from ME9 to Perfect in an additional 1 year, 8 months, 12 days. Total research time 2 years, 11 months, 6 days. These times are assuming metallurgy 5 and an NPC station. Someone who can put it in a Hyasyoda lab and avoid attracting attention can go from 0 to perfect in 1 year, 10 months, 28 days.
Since the Hyasyoda lab was changed from a 0.75 time modifier to a 0.65, maybe rank 480 is too small. Rank 600 would still be in the same ballpark of 2 years to get the last level in an NPC station or 16 months in a POS. Two years for the longest research times will make most people say, "no, it's not worth it." But it is not too long that it is totally impossible. So if titans are in the area of 600, other capital ships scale down from there.
But you should also think about the other end of the spectrum. What level to stop researching a blueprint to should be a meaningful decision at all times. The current proposal is to have all T1 ammo be rank 1 and most T1 modules to be rank 2. For a rank 1 blueprint, it takes 2 days 5 hours to get from 0 to perfect ME. An additional 2 days 5 hours to get to perfect PE. So you can go from NPC buy order to perfect/perfect in less than 5 days. Everybody will do that. Nobody will ever build from a blueprint that is less than perfect/perfect.
I suggest making T1 ammo be rank 5. Here are the research times at rank 5: ME1.......6 minutes, 33 seconds ME2.......15 minutes, 37 seconds ME3.......37 minutes, 11 seconds ME4.......1 hour, 28 minutes ME5.......3 hours, 30 minutes ME6.......8 hours, 20 minutes ME7.......19 hours, 47 minutes ME8.......1 day, 23 hours, 8 minutes ME9.......4 days, 16 hours, 11 minutes ME10....11 days, 2 hours, 40 minutes
Then players have interesting decisions. When work teams can save 4%, 5%, 7.5%? off material costs, then players need to think about the benefit of one more ME level. It is a no-brainer to spend 1 day to get to ME7. But then should you sacrifice 1 more day of production to get it to ME8? After that, should you lose 3 more days to get it to ME9? After that, should you invest another week to get it to perfect? And how high do you research PE? Perhaps PE 14 will be "good enough" for most people, and some people will choose to train all the way to PE20 on blueprints they plan to build a great deal from.
And some people can say, "I don't want to spend 3 weeks to make a perfect/perfect blueprint. I'll pay someone to do it for me."
If ammunition is rank 5, then T1 drones should be rank 8, and T1 modules rank 10. Then you can extrapolate from there. I actually think rank 20 for frigates, 40 for cruisers, and 60 for battleships is pretty good.
It will hurt ppl who own titan`s bpos right now and made afford to research them.

i wish to touch a convertion of old t2 bpc for new proposed one.
Right now we deal with 10 % waste at me -1 and 20 % waste at me -2 with decryptors 10 X run me -2, 1 X run me -1. If bpc will be transfered from to the prosed system from 0-5 % old difference of 10 % will become a difference of 1-2%. In general it is a big lost for anybody who have stockpiles of invented bpces. ( considerng that invention successes are similar for presented decryptors).
Another story is where would be a decryptor me -1 being used?
Let`s check JF invention : bpc cost is say like 40-50 mio ( will be cheaper after patch) datacores cost is around 13 mio. chance around 40%
all together it place one invention try in around 200 mio.
for 10 X run decryptor chance is like ( lets say) 35 %. Cost to run is 250 mio maybe.
so pleasure to have me -1 costs u 170 mio.
now if it will be transfered to the new system 1 % is like 35 mio....in old system it was 300 mio enough to cover affor for doing me 1 inventions.
And JFes are the most expensive example with the biggest diffrence visible. The same is about t2 bses.

Some people have a life outside EVE. They log in for a couple hours, a couple times a week. They are not really interested in the hassles that come from being in a mega alliance.
Think about the number of accounts vs. the online numbers. 300K accounts and 20K online. 6.7% online at any given time? That is a lot of casual players.
Pre-change, even the casual player could compete. Buy a BPO and research it to perfect, or close enough. Put up a mineral buy order in a trade hub, come back days later to see it filled. Move the minerals a couple jumps and put in a build job, come back days later to see it completed. Move the items a couple jumps to trade hub, put up a sell oder, and wait for days for people to buy your stuff. There was no special advantage to being part of a mega alliance.
This sort of casual player is a HUGE chunk of CCP's revenue, and this industry overhaul destroys them.
Minimum price is going to be set by hardcore null bears and mega alliances that control the teams. If you're not one of those, you will not be able to obtain minimum production price which sets market, and therefore, will not be able to manufacture at a profit.
I get that the mega alliances like these changes that squeeze the casual players out of the game. I'm just not sure it is such a great thing for CCP, or the game, or the casual players that being in the bulk of CCP's revenue.
With these industrial changes, blob warfare comes to manufacturing..
As a casual player i have to admit u are right.
It will be end of casual manufacturing i even started prepearations to move into null :/ - despite i rly dislike null. Also it forces me somehow to become hardocre null producer to cover additional cost. Hard to say i like this but i realised if i will not adopt i will have to, i dont know, unsub almost all accounts and stay with one to watch eve world ?

This stems from the change to round up. I see two possible solutions. 1) Exempt caps from round up and still use round as caps are never done in batches. 2) Multiply the required number of components by 10 or 100 and then divide the size and required materials for each component by the same factor.
1) not true 2) can be a way to solve it 3) it`s is a problem

Even in batches, they at best being done in batches of 3 due to the 30 day cap. Even in batches of three, there is still a significant percentage of the bonus contained in the last 1% (22% for a 3 batch, 30% for a 2 batch. For what used to be a perfect blueprint this is not trivial.
Yea that`s why to overcome it u will need a team 1 % me or an outpost. And when it is about archon it`s not worth to haul them from null so somehow it is a problem. I have written u answers in a short form quite obvious anyway.
One tip from my side - make calculations with teams to u will quickly notice that caps will be built only with them.
BTW u make archons in batches of 3, still according to my spreadsheet there is a significant difference. But the same is with dreadsbelive me.
batch of 3 for archon 2 for dreads, numbers are representing cost ( even if it has no sense for u in iskies this is cost, just look at precentage difference): ................ me 9 me 10 me 11 archon - 124,75122,5121,75 naglfar - 235,6231,3229,6 |

i own few t2 bpos and i dont see a problem. They were overpriced and have had an monopoly in some areas. And it was bad frome conomical side of view.
T2 bpos still will give an adentage - less clicking and no invention cost.
However if u think about t2 production u somehow have to move to null - reduced cost on everythings ( from job starting cost to me). Personally i see it wrong but i will adopt. However for many ppl who periodically make production it is a wrong direction patch.

nah u make a mistake...
every patch hurt somebody.... when CCP nerfed titans i lost on titans BPOs
When they introduce new invetnion cost i lost on freighters bpo and t2 bpos.....and i`m forced to move to null. only drawbacks for me.
When there issomething being changed it usualy affect only small population of ppl in eve. Personally i would rather expect stability from a healthy market wihtout goverment ( in that case CCP) interventions. From the other side in general ppl want changes - and they get them. CCP want to make money not a perfect world. Their right as the owners too anyway.
