A question to D2D alliance leaders - and some information

Shittake	Posted - 2006.05.20 06:54:00 - [1] Edited by: **take on 20/05/2006 07:03:04 Over the last 1+ months, representatives of corporations which would eventually form "Process of Elimination" alliance (or POE for short) have been in talks with northern entities such as D2D, Razor, and NFC regarding our inten t to return to what most of us consider our home in the north, Venal. While our diplomats were working on negotiations with all 3 of these northern entities, our forces preemptively set D2D, RAZOR, and NFC to positive and began camping Tribute and Vale of the Silent regions killing their enemies as a coutesy - for who we had hoped would become our friends in the north, interested in a common goal - a stable north. After some talking, RAZOR and NFC understood we held the same values as they did, considered their enemies as our enemies, and standings were set appropriately and everything has been fine. We are on the same page when it comes to who are the "bad guys". Originally D2D diplos told our diplos that D2D would not shoot us in Venal and we could move in. But apparently that order was not successfully communicated to their troops OR their troops have just ignored this order altogether. Our pilots have been fired upon by the D2D member corps FATE and Euphoria Released continually. At first we did not fire back as we were attempting to get the D2D standings talks finished up - but the talks have stalled because we're not sure who is actualy in charge of D2D anymore and we cannot sit by and be shot at without protecting ourselves. So at this point POE has set FATE and E-R to -10. I bring this to the public forums because we are not sure who really is in charge of D2D, and can work with us to get this problem figured out. We are for a stable north, and we've moved to Venal beacuse it is our home and we intend to stay. We would like to work with your PvP forces to shoot common "bad guys" but FATE and E-R are making that a little difficult. Would someone in D2D's able to make decisions at an alliance level either contact **take, Kalantis, or Mephistos regarding this please? Thanks in advance for your help, **take CEO RONA Deepspace POE Alliance Diplomat ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Back Story and Recent Events: D2D alliance leaders should also be aware that there is some bad blood between Euphoria Released and OCC regarding some history back in the NBSI days. At that time I was in OCC, and my CEO Gafton basicaly blamed me for E-R leaving NBSI because I brought up a silly thing called "game mechanics" when it came to holding space which apprently caused Cartiff to bust a neuron and pull E-R from NBSI (probably because I used terms like Sovereignty and POS in the same sentence without making some kind of laser beam sound with my mouth and holding up a shiny thing to get his attention). Whether this is true or not who knows. There's no question that Cartiff as his gang might be good at shooting red boxes BUT if you talk to them about other aspects of the game they get angry and run away because they do not have the patience to sit and listen - and work with folks who would take care of those scary thigns called sovereignty and POSes. Don't let the bad blood of a "shooty shooty" corp in your midst prevent you from normalizing relations with a neighboring alliance who holds the same values and has the same enemies as you. We have PvP and industrial forces available for greater northern regional stability operations and would like to be cooperative neighbors - but if not, who knows exactly how things will degrade. If we continue to be attacked then we will attack back, and it may not be against just FATE and E-R. Also, last night, a gang from one of D2D's premier PvP corps called FATE was destroyed by POE's biggest carebear corp called RONA Deepspace, who held the battlefield in the end. RONA Deepspace consists of mostly noobs when it comes to PvP and I am perhaps their biggest carebear and my fighter/hauler character got 3 FATE killmails. Draw your own conclusions.

Parlaying and smacking in the same sentence is generally not a good idea for a diplomat. Diplomacy is a tricky business, and there's no question I am probably not the BEST diplomat in this game. We've attempted to get a hold of those in charge in D2D who can actually effect a change in these standings yet it appears that vocal yet newcommer elements within their alliance are attempting to hijack these standings changes due to some kind of vendetta. My alliance mates for the most part have lived in the Venal/Tenal/Branch regions for most of their Eve lives and would like very much to get along with D2D. I only tell it as it is. I refuse to waste the time of others by mincing words so much as to sound like a eunek - so I don't.

I would be glad to discuss these resources with your diplomats, but not with you.

Is it even when a PvP corps starts a fight by killing a hauler and then those carebears rise up and kill a premeir PvP corp's gang and ISK losses are similar? This is a draw?

Your next I came to forums with this "stuff" because we've been trying for ages to figure out who can actually speak for D2D and work things out. Believe me, I do not like authoring posts in this forum unless I feel that I must. Oh and the "your next" thing does not impress me.

If your put yourself at risk by presuming something, don't come here and blame someone else for it. If you were shot, then I can guarantee you that you were not +ve / blue. Secondly, you admit of your awareness that talks have stalled. In other words, they led nowhere? In other words, you are presently NOT set to blue. Trying to create a rift within the alliance (good luck with that one) will definitely NOT help your cause, I can guarantee you that much. So far "your" north has never been stable - why would it change now? Your approach is by all means opportunistic, although not really surprising. Learn how to read and comprehend. I wanted to get the attention of the people in D2D who actually make the decisions, not the frontline troops. No question we had more ships in that battle, perhaps some more warped in while it was happeneing. But I am not some kinda PvP god, never claimed to be, neither is my corp. But we werent the ones dropping the T2 Tachyons and all the really expensive mods - most of our carebears were in T1 stuff with the exception of a few ships.

I am in no way attempting to cause a rift. My original post was to get the attnetion of folks in D2D to perhaps contact me or others to get thigns worked out. We have been trying to do so for a while, and at one point we were told that we would not be shot at in Venal, which is why we started our move into the region where we could setup camp and then finalize things with you guys. I provided the backstory in my original post so that those in D2D could understand the complexity of some of the past relationships that we have had and how it may perhaps influence things within your alliance.

We would like nothing more than to get this standings thing situated ASAP. We have common goals!!! But when industrial pilots are attacked by PvPers from D2D while our PvPers work to protect the supply lines in Tribute for ALL the northenn alliances who use Tribute as a corrider, including D2D, you can understand the frunstration levels. That's why I started this post. TO get the attention of those D2D leaders who can remedy the situation.

Our alliance knows that we are currently being shot at by D2, although certain elements of it are unclear (prior talks made it sound as if we would not be engaged in Venal or Empire). Either way, **take does not speak for our alliance atm, and if this thread can be locked that would be most appreciated.
