And so I have had some time to think about what my favorite ship in eve was. I say "was" because the ships have changed, but its ok to post a current ship if its your all time favorite. What were some of your favorites? Here was my favorite ship: [Rupture, Fittings.] Gyrostabilizer II Tracking Enhancer II Gyrostabilizer II Tracking Enhancer II Damage Control II Large Shield Extender II Warp Disruptor II Experimental 10MN Microwarpdrive I Empty 425mm AutoCannon II 425mm AutoCannon II 425mm AutoCannon II 425mm AutoCannon II Small Unstable Power Fluctuator I Medium Energy Neutralizer II Medium Polycarbon Engine Housing I Medium Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I Medium Core Defense Field Extender I The medium slot wasn't there yet. It wasn't empty. I also had warriors and one valk for drones. I used to fly this ship with snakes in low sec faction war. It was very fast and even if I got scrammed I had some chances with the drones and the neuts. The guns were spread out so you could overheat longer. I am happy with the changes to eve for the most part but I do miss flying this ship. I loved the fact that its minmatar and looks like pieces could fall off but it was still fast - like the millennium falcon. This thing was a beast. Now I fly Ishtars. I also like my Orcas quite a lot. All time favorite.... uhhhhhnnnn... I dunno. I try new parts of the game and CCP giggles things around... tough to stay married to one ship.

I really liked it in Carthum colors as the Absolution, I sort of hope that comes back in some form. Next would be the Phantasm, the best looking of the pirate ships. Close third would be the Ashimmu. The forum trolls then call it OP citing popularity as evidence and then to keep the trolls happy CCP merrily nerf it back into obscurity never to be flown again :D

Which is nice. My alt flies an Ishtar and that really does the business. Fast and with a lot of punch. Drones again you see. I love 'em.

For high sec shenanigans it's without doubt a gank Catalyst. For roams i really do enjoy flying logi, but the most fun fleet(s) I've ever been in was blap Oracle fleet (Yes, grr T1 Tachyons). Ruined my sec status so much in those fleets, but totally worth it. As for my personal favorite if I were to fly solo it would actually have to be the Hookbill. Have had a secret love for the Hookbill ever since I started playing EVE. So much fun to fly, and the versatility in fittings is awesome. You can surprise and fit light missiles and kite away, or fit dual MASB's and achieve all the lols. Or go for a TD/web/scram fit and ruin that blaster boats' day. Or my personal favorite, the armor tanked ECM burst fit (despite the "wtf m8" it actually works) And it's imo one of the coolest looking ships in the game. To add though, I've never actually flown T3's in pvp before and that's something I really wanna do. And once I do I might actually get a new favorite ship.

Wont be surprised to see the Ishtar nerfed. Kinda will be for my uses, since Garde DPS will be lowered. But then theres gonna be faction DDAs so... might even out. I'll probably go back to Gilas after the summer patch actually... Or at least try them out for a while. They have kind of an appealing rickety look as well, like the Millenium Falcon or Serenity. I think the very first ship I fell in love with, way back in 2004 when I made my first character, was the Vexor. Purely based on looks. It kinda looks like a shrimp. Its cool.

If favorite ships = ships most used then yes, I generally use the ship that is most efficient for the task at hand. Going by looks, many of many favorites I don't use much, or have no plans to use at all (like the Hel). I do wish CCP would let T3s back in hisec DED sites though. I will personally not go back to using them but I'd like to come across them. :)

The Mael could shield tank and could be either arty or AC fit, without changing anything else on the fit. The tengu could warp in, sit there, get all the aggro, never lose more than 2% shields and clear every room in about 20 minutes or so. It was good isk, but very boring. It wasn't that expencive of a fit either. 1.2b for the whole thing if memory serves. It wasn't too blingy. This is as nice as I get. But lots of people would stick around to try pick up a rupture kill that wouldn't stay to fight a hurricane - at least in fw space where there were lots of figates. But I imagine flying the hurricane was much the same as flying a rupture only you were able to take on more stuff. I've seen some players do some pretty awesome stuff with hurricanes. I never did get around to flying one when they were great. I probably should have given it a try. For ships that I will probably never be able to fly the Revelation is just so damned pretty. I want one so! But A. I will probably never fly capital ships and B. I've heard they aren't very good.
