ONE char for EVE, Valyrie, Legion

Having said that, CCP just threw 10 years worth of lore out the window. Why would a capsuleer, the elite of the elite, voluntarily go and do grunt work or sit in a drone? And turning it around, why does a stupid grunt soldier suddenly have the ability to become a pod pilot? Way to kill not only 1, but 2 story lines. Also the entire cloning thing is becoming old really fast. It's THE most overused plot device in the entire EVE universe. My YouTube Channel - EVE Tutorials & other game related things!

It was not possible before.

I never got why people get so attached to the idea, that the game lore would be some kind of limiting factor for game design. The lore is there to explain the existing reality and limitations with a bit of flavor, but it's just words on paper. Lore is largely slave to gameplay. Even if you switch that around, the end result is the same. A few additional paragraphs will remove that artificial limitation without creating any conflict with the lore. If you feel lazy, you can just add something like: "X wasn't previously possible because of A and B, but recent technological advances have removed such limitation". It would then actually be against the lore to not allow such transfers for the players, so therefore it must be allowed. Either way problem solved.

When you're immortal and death doesn't really matter to you, you do whatever you feel like doing if you're that kind of person. On the other side, there might also be immortals who simply enjoy the freedom given to them to excel in several fields and not just one - Not all tasks can be forced to completion with starships. Aside from that, people are only given the option to play in Legion and Valkyrie with the same character, they're not being forced to. They can still stay snobs if they want to :) If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

You can have combat clone beside of your pilot clone. So two sets of skillsets. Guristas virtualization will make your other skillset progress, when you are in other clone. so not stopping learning anytime. One consciousnes, two skillsets. When weapons, technology, and economies mature faster than the leadership culture entrusted with them, disaster ensues.

I'd be happy to pay a larger sub for access to all games with a unified skill queue. i.e. make it so that energy management, targeting or shield skills are the same for all games. May need to have a skill point merge at some point so the existing dust characters can get the benefit of their training represented overall. This would probably mean that a lot of EVE veterans could start Dust with 'almost' max skills but little technique for FPS. Interesting times in New Eden

CCP's history of delivering pipe dreams from Fanfest is about as good as my kill board. Fanfest typically shows off some Jesus feature that gets everyone excited and then CCP shift gears to focus on something else. It's just their nature. While what they propose would be interesting, I'll reserve my excitement for tangible product. After all they still need to fix so much of their broken game as it is.

It's THE most overused plot device in the entire EVE universe. cloning's always been central to the story it's half of what makes a capsuleer so powerful. the dust and valk guys aren't 'grunts', either i imagine that our character can jump to a clone with different abilities, different skillbooks i like the 'one identity' thing, it underscores the 'one game, one universe' idea
