Eve Defence Force.
Eve: The galaxy in which we live.
Defence: Reference to the people who "Defend" against Piracy
Force: The men and women working together towards this common goal.
Eve Defence Force is a Miliatary Corporation. We are not a democracy; we have no shares; no votes; we have a Chain of Command that everyone must follow and we're very good at what we do. Our corp over the last three months has made more kills than most of the corps in the other major Alliance. Here are some facts:
600 Kills in Jan
900 Kills in Feb
812 kills in Mar
309 Kills in April (Carebearing Month)
Over this time we've either surpassed or made more kills than many of the best PvP corps out there and are proud that our record is up there with the best. But we are not just a PvP corp with an Industrial Wing, nor are we an Industrial Corp with a PvP Wing. We are a Military, deep space dwelling corp with a goal to create a deep space empire and operates under the principles of Teamwork and above all else - Honour.
To this end, Eve Defence Force acomplishes its goals through several Divisions across three Wings where all members must be willing to use Teamspeak.
Corporate Fleet Wing
Corporate Fleet Wing consists of our Covert Operations Division as well as two full Legions.
Legions - PvP
Our Legions are now recruiting once more. To apply, you must:
- Own and be skilled in the use of a Battleship
- Own and be skilled in the use of a Tech 2 Frigate
- Willing to train for a Dradnaught and/or Carrier (corp funded)

General Operations Wing
General Ops is our covers any operations that do not fit under the Catagory of Logistics or Combat.
ARC - Agent Running & Complexes
This division deals with Empire, Cosmos and Deep Space Agent Running, as well as running Compelxes in Ascenia. Our Agent Runners work together in Teams and are clustered close enough to support each other in times of war.
To join ARC you must meet the following criteria:
- Own and be skilled in the use of a Battleship
- Have a Level 4 Agent
- Be willing to get an R&D Agent
- Be able to play straight after Downtime (Complex runners only)
STAR - Sales, Trading and Acqusition of Resources
S.T.A.R. deals primarily with trading. If you fancy the life of a trader, being funded to trade in billions of ISK at a time, gaining a cut of the profits, then we would like to hear from you.
- Own a Transport Ship
- Be willing to train for a Freighter
- Be willing to learn about Market Mechanics
- Be able to provide references from a previous corp

Eve Defence Logistics
Responsible for Mining, Manufacturing and Supply runs to and from Empire Space.
MARC - Mineral Acqusition and Resource Collection
MARC is our Minining and Haulage Division where members work in teams based around time zone, skills and ship class and are set weekly quotas appropriate to their class. Members who hit their quotas will be paid at a flat rate. Members who exceede their quotas are paid bonuses
To be an EDF Miner you must meet one of the following criteria:
- Fly a Retriever
- Fly a Covetor
- Fly a Hulk

Finally, this is our standard minimum requirements:
- Be a power-player i.e. a minimum of 3 hours a night, 5 days per week
- Be willing to use Teamspeak
- Must of been in a prior corp
- Must be a minimum of 6 months old
- Be willing to read corp forums daily

Now the sales pitch is out of the way, allow me to be straight with any prospective recruit. Life in Eve Defence Force is tough. We are predominately 0.0 based. We're very ambitious and have achieved a lot in a short time. Members are expected to be very dedicated to the ideals of corp. and be willing, when necessary, to put the corp. first. In return, EDF try's to strike a balance between members' and corp. riches.
Twelve months ago, Eve Defence Force left Xetic Federation with virtually no ships larger than a Frigate, haemorrhaging members and on the verge of bankruptcy. In that time we've gone from 200 members to over 400 with more turned away than we take in. We've gone from struggling to put a POS up to the pending launch of our 3rd Outpost. We've gone from a struggling collection of individual PvPers to the ability to field dozens of Battleships and being able to hold our own against some of the best in Eve.
All of this has been achieved by hard work and dedication. If you're not afraid of hard work, meet our requirements and want to be part of something larger than yourself, then we'd like to hear from you. If teamwork doesn't interest you, or all you care about is how much ISK you can make before logging off at the first sign of trouble, then you need not apply. We've come a long way through the hard work and dedication of our members. If you have what it takes to be part of Eve Defence Force, imagine how far you can help take us

I'm a firm believer of recruitment threads being on the first page. Get back there!
This is a great corp, with a ton of great pilots. The leadership is solid, and there is a clear progression toward the goals. The corp is very active at all times of the day, and with plenty of targets to shoot at.
This will be my home till EDF wins eve.

Would you be interested in a 10-15M SP player who plays from 9-5 GMT ? Do you have many OPS active at this time?
Your corp interests me because I do enjoy the industrial side of EVE but want PVP action too. Seems like you have the best of both worlds.
BTW, This is a new character that I am training and not some Alt post trying to stir trouble (and my main is in a corp who might kill me for posting).
Anyway let me know if I should pursue this corp. |

There are always a good number of people online. I play a few hours before downtime and its a full house every night. I've never been on during a slow time. This corp rocks and rolls 23/7 folks.

Is there an EDF training division?
May be worth considering. Veteran pilots running a formal training program for new recruits. Establish standards (kills, participation in fleet ops, or skill level) as a way to move on to another division. The idea would be to grow members from the ground up and indoctrinate them the right way. In other words no bad habits EDF has a chance to grow their members from the ground up before they learn bad habits.
Other ideas would be to establish training programs for a variety of things:
Command - Course designed to train commanders
Ops or S3- More of a staff position this person knows how to creat an attack or defensive plan. Course designed to teach ops planning.
Intel or S2 - Intel staff position specific duties are the gathering of intel and intel prep of the operations area
Pilot Certification - Course designed to teach EDF tactics
My suggestion would be to establish a training division and make them responsible for training the force.

If all you have is greed in your heart, you need not apply. If you're unwilling to strike a balance between personal and corp wealth, you need not apply. If you are unwilling to help out your corp mates when they need it, you need not apply. If you pay lip service to our recruiters, tell us what we want to hear, join EDF and then do any of the above, you get kicked.
Besides, we've never had 460 members. Most we've had is 434 members. Some where alts that didn't meet the alt criteria. Some went innactive and didn't bother to tell us. Some met the above criteria and found themselves looking for a new corp.
What we want are dedicated, regular gaming, mature and expereinced individuals who are interested in building an Empire then protecting said empire. Who want to fight the best PvPers in Eve; who want to mine the best ores in Eve; who want to be part of something larger than themselves. If you meet that criteria then you're welcome to apply

You'll be paid on a quota system where you choose whether to earn more money or to have free time. Right now, most miners are getting rich
Also after more PvPers who want to PvP on a daily basis. Oceanic players would be welcome. Expereince is essential.

John, I am liking the look of you guys after reading this thread. Not sure if you guys have a website (which I havent found linkage to, will re-read). I see that you guys require regular gamers. Due to my RL issues, I am not really in a position to give more than 1 hour a day / 4 days a week, and then up to 4-5 hours a day on the remaining 3 days.
Could you please advise if this is acceptable. My work weekend starts at d/t today, so will pop on after and have a chat with the guys in your in-game channel.

It really comes down to how much of a team player you are. You could be very productive in that hour by helping out your corp mates so really, this is something only you can answer. We just have no interest in someone who wants to log in one hour a day and go ratting because it helps no one but yourself.

Of course. I have been playing Eve 'Single Player' now for close to 2 years. I specifically want to get into PvP and the likes as I have found that the single player aspect doesn't interest me no more.
To give an example, I popped my head into Egghelende a few days ago, and warped into a belt with 5 pirates. Needless to say, I took down a blackbird, bantum , and dominix, before the megathron and stabber got me. The damn domi was loaded with nossies, so he stopped me from possibly beating the lot
After this experience, I decided that I wanted this to be something I could use my Eve time for. Instill fear in my opponents etc. Logging in now to have a chat

ugh, the forums ate my post.
I have 3.3m SP, and own a transport. I am willing to train for a freighter but do not have the ISK for the skillbook or ship.
1) Are there regular convoys that run, or are we all "on our own" when hauling?
2) How often is there work and ISK to be made?
3) I'm also working on a fighting route, in a few months or so I hope to be well skilled in PvP/EW, if I decided to move to another division, would it be possible?
4) I'm on north american time, is this an issue?
I have a good history, with a good established corp/alliance. If possible could someone evemail me the response? I tried asking in Bar-EDF but nobody could answer.

Incidently, Eve Defence Force, being predominately a PvP corp, just scored another 300 or so kills in the last month which was another one of our cash making Months for our PvPers. As you can see, even during downtime from combat, you can still clock up a decent amount of kills.

Just out of curiousity, what is the regular job of a freighter pilot with their own freighter in this corp anyway? And as mentioned earlier, are regular runs made with a timetable? Do freighter/transport pilots contribute (and presumably get paid too) via these runs?
Bit of a jack of all trades. A Covetor, a Charon and a Manticore.

A quick reminder of what we're looking for:
Agent Runners
- Level 3 or better.
- Fly a BS and/or HAC.
Complex Runners
- Fly a BS and/or HAC.
- Play just before and just after Downtime.
PvPers
- Prior expereince required.
- Fly a BS.
- Use Tech 2 Weapons (or be in the latter stages of training for them).
Miners
- Fly a Covetor.
- Training for a Hulk.
Everyone
- Play 21 hours a week minimum.
- Played Eve for six months or more.

all my fraps has gone it all got destroyed and i was making a good movie. it had hulk mining, gate camping, solo crow fights, small hac gangs, fleet fights, pos takedown, capitol ship deployment, outpost deployment, complex running, really big mining ops and my solo navy apoc kill

If you enjoy mining and want to earn a lot of money easily this is the place to go!
No need to worry about selling or moving the ore all the way back to empire, you just have to worry about what you'll buy next with all that isk!
No need to worry about being out of arkonor, bistot or merc, we have tons of it!
We have roids so fat when they step on the Weight Scales it says...'to be continued'... 
Can mine but you are affraid of these means rats? No prob, we have a lot of folks ready to disctract them while you mine.
You can login and mine when you want with nearly no risk*. We have mining op runing nearly around the clock and you are free to join and leave when you want.
You can mine 12hrs a day if you feel like it and if you are a power miner you can even earn bonuses on top of all the rest.
We are all mining in covetor or hulk and most of us have mining foreman 4, we also have a gang module bonus from a maxed out char, can you imagine how much m3 you can pull per minute with that? More than you can spend for sure :)
As a quick example, yesterday i came back from work, logged into eve. Within 5 mins i was in my barge mining in an op that started a few hours earlier.
When i stopped i was 40mil richer and only managed to pop 3 roids

I notice that your post here states that Retriever+ is a requirement for MARC. The EDF Bar shows Covetor+.
Which be accurate? Worth applying now, or should I just wait the week or so it'll take for Barge 5 to finish?

Aye, it was changed but I forgot to change it here. It's a guideline really. If you've only just got into a Retriever than you're too new for our requirements but if you're only a couple weeks off a Covetor and flying a Retriever then that's fine. So long as you meet the other requirements) played Eve for more than 6 months.
