GeForce 6800 2.4 ghz AMD Athlon on nVidia board 1gb RAM
19" Samsung Syncmaster 955DF CRT Monitor 19" NU L921G LCD Monitor
Windows XP fully updated. All drivers current.
My problem is that when I run dual monitors and have one or more clients open, my CPU usage goes to 100% and the game is unplayable. It is pretty hard to do much of anything. My system runs multiple clients with one monitor just fine. A few hours ago the CPU usage dropped to where it should be and everything worked great. I rebooted and it sucks again.
I tried searching for other people that have had this problem but couldn't find a similar thread (which probably means that my ten minutes of looking wasn't enough ).
Has anyone else had a similar problem or able to suggest a fix? -----------------------

Originally by: Dacro Insigna Sounds like you're using two monitors. If such is the case, you'll need to have both clients on your primary monitor (1) if you want the computer to use the majority of your video resources for them. Secondary monitors are only really useful for watching films or doing work while playing, the vast majority of graphics cards are unable to operate properly through the secondary channel, unless you don't have a monitor connected to the primary.
found it here not that same problem you are haveing but it has some info ________________________________________________

I had same problem but with one monitor , 100% cpu all the time. Try changing Interval value in graphics tab to defalult ore one (i had immediate and that causet heavy cpu load). Let me know if it helped

Edited by: Raven Lunatic on 24/05/2006 23:39:33 Make sure you have the 2nd client set to render to the secondary monitor. You can change it in the gfx options when you press escape in game.

Also make sure if you are running 1 client on each monitor like I am, make sure each client is in its own seperate install folder, and set each client to render on a specific monitor. Also make sure none of either client touches or overlaps any part of the other screen as that will cause your CPU usage to spike and will make it unplayable. Whenever I launch it puts part of the first client on the second monitor and the second client launches on the primary screen until I drag them to where they don't touch the other or span screens.
Also disable audio on one of the clients or both if you can stand it.
When I have that situated (takes about 5 seconds) the game playes fine on both clients.
