Edited by: Hans Roaming on 24/05/2006 14:52:00 The Huzzah Federation is an alliance that until recently was solely located in the southern part of the Providence region of EVE as opposed to being mostly based in Catch as it is now. The membership was around three hundred and the main activities consisted of farming NPCs, POS related activity and fighting the occasional pirates alongside our good friends the CVA alliance.
This all changed by a war declaration against the alliance by The Priory and also the newly formed Sudden Death Squad alliance. Eight weeks of fighting ensued that saw Huzzah change itself from what it was into a PVP focused alliance that was composed of people with the tenacity to get the job done. The makeup consisted of fighters and hard core industrialists that could make the economy work under war time conditions.
After this war new challenges had to be found and thus started the wars against FIX alongside Stain Alliance and friends. The road has not been easy and the alliance has had to grow into the thirteen hundred members that comprise it today as well as facing numerous attacks. Our current list of enemies include FIX, BoB, LV, CC, CDC, RAT as well as numerous small pirate corporation that roam the HED pipe region. The quality of ones gaming experience is as much determined by ones opponents as much as ones abilities and in this regard we are blessed. We donÆt fight them because we hate them, we fight them because fighting is what the fun part of this game is all about.
Some people might see such a path as a bad thing, however we thrive on challenge and the only way to get better is to compete directly with the best. The alliance believes in continuous self improvement, weÆre not precious about how we do things and constantly adapt to overcome problems. EVE for us isnÆt about earning ISK but is there for seeking out adventure and making our mark on the world.
We choose to be in Huzzah. We choose to be in Huzzah and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because our goals will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because those challenges are ones that we are willing to accept, ones we are unwilling to postpone, and ones which we intend to win.
What weÆre looking for is PVP or hardened industrial corporations who have experience in 0.0 life, have a minimum of fifty members and to whom the thought of playing EVE on the hard setting is appealing. We might not win every battle and we might not succeed the first time at every goal however we do as an alliance have the tenacity to keep trying and adapting until we do achieve what we want to. To quote one member from a recent discussion ôI feel what Huzzah does well is the attitude, the atmosphere, and the morale. There hasn't been another alliance I've been happier to be a part of.ö.
So if you feel youÆre up to the challenge and being part of an up a coming alliance who is carving their own destiny in EVE then either post here or contact myself or Josiah Bleak for more information.

Heya folks, I've had a most excellent time in Huzzah and see it being my home for the duration of my stay within this game.
I've played many MMORPG's and can honestly say Huzzah is the top boss of all of the guilds/clans/etc I've been in. We are a team in the true sense of the word.
Anyone who's tired of being taken advantage of, had a bad taste in your mouth after a previous experience with a poor alliance, or wants to taste the thrills of 0.0 should really give Huzzah a try. You won't be disappointed. Be all you can be, join the Huzzah Armed Forces today!

Ok let me give you some info on how we run things.
First of all we are mainly based in the Catch region of space in the palyer owned stations of V2-VC2, 5N-2EY and FAT-6P.
Corporations who put up large deathstar POS to secure sov in those systems have their fuel apid for by the alliance, which comes to about 150million ISK per month. Offices can be precured for corporations and their rental costs go towards off setting the fuel costs of those POS in the systems.
Opertunites for income include a 10/10 and 6/10 complex in our space as well as various Sansha NPC's upto and including Sansha officer spawns. For the miners out there ark is abundant in our low security systems and there is a thriving market for those minerals and ice fuels. Once of our goals is to build up the market in Catch to be one of the best supplied in 0.0 and so equipment and ammo is either made locally or imported along with NPC goods from empire. We also have good relations with the CVA and IAC and benefit from low prices for tech 2 and capital ship items which supliment those from our internal suppliers.
As we focus on group activities alliance goals and aims are regularly set and as we are a federal republic with a democratically elected President then your voice as a corporation will be heard. In fact the leadership does not believe it has a monopoly on good ideas and this coupled with us oprating as a meritocracy means that the best people for a role tend to filter up towards the top. Personally I was the only mug who would serve as the figurehead, but don;t let that blip in the system put you off.
As has been mentioned above we're a team focused PVP alliance and this is reflected in the pvp loss payouts that those who fight with their alliance mates enjoy. PVP is encouraged with mixed corps gang and can range from solo through small group to large fleets and cap ship battles. We don't dwell on losses and measure success by the objective achieved or not, if we lose a fight we don't bemoan it but learn, move on and try again, and again, and again.
I hope this has given you more information about us and look forward to hearing from corporations who want a challenge in EVE.

Edited by: Nvali on 25/05/2006 21:23:46 I enjoy how Huzzah has given me a chance to be a part of the 'real' game, even though I'm a relatively young player. I'm personally celebrating setting foot into my first battleship, while still getting to fly in groups that are responsible for changing some of the territory map. It's bloody good fun, and infinitely better than looking for Omber in .5.
My roommate got the final blow on reclaiming our station after BoB decided they were done with their weekend fun, and we stayed up until 3 a.m. when we had to work the next day because we're crazy fools and it was fun. Jumping into a few dozen LV on a gate in the pipe taught me that 'installing' a jump clone isn't the same as 'activating' a jump clone and that I really didn't need those nice fancy learning implants anyway. And carriers and dreads have bloody good tanks, but NOS _can_ beat them all, and even battleship speeds are enough to overcome dread siege mode lack-of-tracking. And just why DID BoB attack? Was it our illustrious leader pointing out what worthy opponents they would be? Did they really want a foothold in the south? Was it baiting Stain, or was it just weekend fun? Who knows, maybe nobody will ever find out, but meanwhile there were targets to shoot and ships to be lost. :)
Not that I'm an expert on any of this yet, but well, like I said, it sure beats Omber. :)
