Anyway, I think you've actually done yourself a favor. Instead of grinding ISK to pay for your PLEX, now you can be spend that time actually doing things you enjoy in the game... Like actually, well, I dunno - PLAY?
Right off the bat $131 seems like a lot but it's not - especially if you're committing a good portion of time to playing EVE. It's your entertainment. How much do you spend on a couple beers + food during a night out with friends? Add that up over a year; it's a lot. Obviously, those with ludicrous amounts of ISK will always pay with PLEX. Otherwise, I'd HANDS DOWN rather pay to subscribe than grinding to then be able to play a game that I consider FUN. |

Anyway yeah, I have so far not felt an overpowering urge to reach for the plastic.
Once the isk runs out, I'll be joining the 'see what they do, not what they say' crowd. Altho ccp could release an amazing patch and I'd still be 'out' of the mindset and probably not resub. |

I can sell Nit Shampoo at a volume discount in Jita if you'd like to negotiate a bulk deal. That is if you want to stop picking them.
So for somebody only earning double the minimum wage it's a couple of hours of work to afford a PLEX + subscription. Spending $50 a month on a hobby that provides how many hours of entertainment? What about a $100?
The cost/benefit ratio is just too extreme to even compute. And if you can't afford it; or you're unwilling to pay for it - well - go without. It's not like it's a life-saving medical treatment or food on the table. It's a video game and some virtual currency.
