As it is, ganking gives no risk whatsoever for the attacker, and all risk for the attacked. The attacker only risks "losing" the potential loot if the drop is unlucky. To counter this unfarly unbalanced mechanic, highsec NPC medical facilities will refuse to make a clone to whoever has a criminal flag. If a criminal is podded after a crime, he/she can either chose to pay NPCs a huge amount of ISK per SP to "corrupt" it's way to a new clone, or get his/her character deleted forever.

why do carebears hate gankers as much? so what they ganked you a few times here and there, but they remove items form circulation and generally help the market.
if anything they need more of a incentive to gank, ganking it's at all time low.

i think anyone who undocks with a loot ammount making it worth suicide ganking the target should instantly recive criminal flags carebears who run missions in officer fit ships and people who haul high value stuff have it far too easy in this game and it's only ever by luck that they're caught. It should also send out a eve wide notification of the possible value of the loot to everyone with a sec status of -5 or below. |

Something about making EvE "more accessible" to the masses has also brought with it many people who think of EvE as "every other MMO".
The NPE has tried helping with the "hey, you ship is just a gorram tool" thing -- two or three of the missions are "yup, we is gonna blow you up" -- but even that only goes so far -- because people apparently then attribute it to "well, rats can kill me ... OK..." and for whatever reason don't just treat hisec pirate types as "harder, smarter rats". One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia |

Oh, I just remembered something: recycling characters to avoid consequences of one's actions is not allowed. With this change you would just circumvent this rule and in fact boost whole ganking business. So I guess let's do this. I am not my skills but... http://eveboard.com/pilot/Schmata_Bastanold |

Make it last 1 month. The NPC medical facility, after refusing to make you a clone, forgets to send a notice to the Amount Of Characters Per Account Police and they still think that your character is alive and well, refusing to allow you to make one more. It's only after a month of inactivity that they get suspicious and do a search to see if the character is still in the EVE Universe, to which they discover it isn't and allow you to make another. no because that's a silly idea what if you're a pirate hunter and you've been teaching new pirates that it's a bad idea and you end up losing all your toons and then can't play for a month i think we should just biomas characters who come up with bad ideas like this and then ban the accounts of the people who make them |

Are you trying to say that now gankers, who stupidly enough get podded in highsec, and do it on all their toons, are the victims? What about the ganked!? No I don't want to make high sec safe, nor will this make it safer. On the contrary it will have the opposite effect, it will make highsec unsafer. "The internet is a reliable source of information." - Abraham Lincoln |

Let's just say: No, with a but... which is: I still find it rather strange that NPC corps have no problem whatsoever, reviving a character with a criminal flag... other then that: Unveasable idea, even for a non-ganker like me. that, and the 20 million ISK you just paid for a new clone ... fuuuu they're rich.
edit -- NEW IDEA
If NPC Corp income* drops off in a system (constellation / region), then mission payouts drop!
Now it's in your best interests that the other guys in your corp get the pod when you're at war (or when someone goes suspect / criminal).

It's a good point from a RP perspective as NPC corps are affiliated with an empire faction that you may have a severe negative status with an be considered an ememy. For the Caldari the corporations literally are the state. Why would they facilitate the activities of their enemies by allowing unregulated and unrestricted re-birth in their sovereign space? 30-day skill queue for a 30-day subscription! Many thanks |

Make it so that even lowsec ones don't accept clones in case of being podded while committing a crime in highsec, because then CONCORD would impose sanctions to the corporation because the corp "facilitates criminal activities". As a hardcore carebear, my opinion is an ABSOLUTE NO!!!!!
Ganking is a legitimate game mechanic.
Yes, if ganking becomes "too" common, it will drive people from the game, but CCP is well aware of this and has mechanics in place to assure it is kept to an acceptable level that allows ganking when appropriate but doesn't let it get too out of hand. |
