I felt the following needed to be explained to the EVE Community, so that they could understand why certain decisions have been made.
RONA has been to many places in the Eve universe, from 0.0 to empire, and back again. We have been in some of the largest and somewhat notorious alliances in EVE, and helped sculpt major EVE political events.
What follows is a brief explanation of recent developments. I, as acting CEO, had dealt with a lot of things while in several alliances; mainly intrapersonal issues with other alliance members. The effects of which were profound, almost depressing in fact. It essentially brought me to the point where I almost felt sick login into EVE. So I had a decision to make: quit, or take a break from EVE. Thankfully, I chose the latter. Due to me being an unhappy CEO, we lost membership, leadership was fluttering, at best. I personally take all the blame for that, as I'm the only one responsible.
However, a few things happened while I was on break. Robeyone contacted me, expressing interest in starting to play again. I was more than happy to oblige as we had an agreement from a few years back that would allow this to happen. Unfortunately, due to real life, he no longer has time to play.
Robeyone, ****take, and I had an initial meeting to discuss the future of RONA. I left it to them to decide how they wanted to pursue the future.
Unfortunately, I had no idea this new idea would involve multiple corps. From experience, running multiple corporations in EVE is problematic, at best. Regardless, I tried to make the best of it, knowing that RONA was in very capable hands. We had several issues from the start, one being separate forums that widened the ever-growing rift. Members moved to RONA Deepspace, thinking that they were staying in the RONA family. A myriad of issues spawned after this making it near impossible for RONA and RONA Deepspace to see eye-to-eye. All of this, I believe, stemmed from me; me being unhappy with EVE a few months ago. My unhappy, cynical mentality was, apparently, contagious.
However, there is some good to this story. I am no longer unhappy with playing EVE, so our problems are one step closer to being solved. RONA now has a solid management structure, a good deal of wealth, and a solid industrial base -- back to the beginnings, as it were.
I had to make a decision about RONA Deepspace, I also did not come to this decision alone. This was a necessary, decision. I, as acting CEO, can only do what is right for RONA Corporation.
From this point forward, RONA Corporation and RONA Deepspace are no longer affiliated. Our political ideologies are different, our in game goals are different, and our management style and policies are different. There is nothing tying us together in EVE, save for respect for one another, and a name -- our name. I would hope ****take does the right thing and dissolve RONAD, starting a new corp without the RONA namesake. I, as well as everybody at RONA, wish them all the best in EVE. And most importantly, I hope everyone has fun playing this great game.
