0.9 mb made me quit EVE

Kadrush	Posted - 2006.05.26 22:59:00 - [1] The incompetence of CCP is incredible, since I started playing I had problens with the installer, random reboots, failures os many kinds, many times. This last patch was impossible to install so I uninstalled the game and download the 3910 installer, 3 times in 3 different ways and tried more than 30 times to install the games. After all these attemps I and 3 reboots during instalation I LOST 1.5gb and now I am trying to recover with windows life savior tools. CCP stupid software is destrying my windows, my computer, their incompetence is making me for the first time in my life quit a MMORPG against my will, there is no point to pay for a game which I cannot play. They are losing money from the may player who got the same problem as I do and they don¦t care. This lack of respect is offensive and after all using web communication the have the "balls" to say stupid things like "try again" or "download it again". GOD, I TRIED EVERYTHING. 0.9 mb expeled me from EVE, destroyed my plan for a career inside the game. Destroyed my dreams to play lvl 3 and 4 mission, to drive a battleship. Made me waste my TIME and my money. 0.9mb got me really mad just because we are not from england so we cant release lawyer or commercial justice over they, so they dont care. CCP is a god and we are nothing, and I have no choice but quit. And do not come ask to me to give my isk¦s or items, I would IF I COULD PLAY THE GAME. How can this possible? I played many many times, mmorpgs with installers even bigger that 600mb AND NEVER HAD THE PROBLEMS THAT I DO WITH EVE. This a problem with their software and some probabily conflicts with very specific computers. Just to finish, I finished using windows tools and I LOST 1.5 GB WITH THE RANDOM reboots, any help to recover it will be welcome. sorry for my angry and thanks for all.

Like a previous poster said the problem may be a failing hard drive. Random crashes may also indicate that your motherboard has gone bad or is overheating. Open up your computer's case and look to see if any capacitors are bulging or leaking (very bad signs). If you do not feel comfortable with diagnosing and fixing the computer yourself, I recommend taking it to the nearest computer repair shop. Best Buy, CompUSA, etc if you live in the US. --
Kadrush	Posted - 2006.05.26 23:18:00 - [15] Edited by: Kadrush on 26/05/2006 23:21:02 Some points, Yeah i suspect that the problem was my fast internet so I download the game in a lan house with 8mb per second donwloaded copy the game to a cd and tried to install in my computer just to have the same error. About the 1.5 gb, well was 2.5 gb and I found them lost inside of a temp folder, probabily the files got there during the installation reboots. Anyway, I still cannot play game, I am waiting CCP to aswer my e-mail to see if they can help me. And just aswering the question, no you guys cannot have my stuff. Also if you guys check the complainings subforums will see many players having the exactly same problem as I do. Also only installing EVE give me reboots problens, and my HD is fine, thank you.

But in fact this Banana was impressed with the last patch. I had no problems installing it on my computer at home or my computer at work. With no reboots or bits of my HD going AWOL. If I were you I would be checking my hw or looking for a virus.
